Hey Todd I am a Service Connected Disabled Marine Corps Veteran I am 65 about to be 66 in February I fish the Ross Barnett Reservoir in Mississippi I live about thirty minutes from Tommy’s Trading Post and Hwy 43 boat ramps I mostly fish the River and I use the Hybrid Hunter Jr and I throw it everywhere grass, laydowns, brush piles sand bars points I mean you name it and I have caught fish on it every where but my Favorite is frogging I throw the Strike King KVD POPPING PIPSQUEAK PERCH I watch all of your videos and really enjoy them THANKS

Hybrid Hunter does great at Livingston. It comes through wood as good as a Bandit crankbait, and that's saying something.

You do have videos of the series 3 and 4. Thank you for those! Hybrid Hunter easily my favorite bait hard to put down at times. Same with a spinnerbait just a preference. I approach it in open water like a top water and a jerk bait depending on the situation. Crank it as well. Bounce it off stuff. Rip it pull it. More fun to fish than a square bill and they t bone the thing. Absolutely choke it some days. You are right people don’t throw it. I show buddies proof of concept we will call it, but nope. Oh that’s a wake bait or crankbait . I’m like no it’s a do everything bait you need to throw more

I will say this. This bait isn’t a 5ft or less cure all. But it will get bites when a Chatterbait is played out, it’ll help you cover water, it has a power of drawing bigger bites as well. Might be because of its “new” factor, not sure. Also, I noticed one thing with you Todd is, you look at fishing and everything at the macro level, but also know what micro details to pay attention to. That’s why I feel there’s diff levels of anglers. There’s great local guys that have the best spots, or they know when fish show up to certain areas of the lake. But they start traveling and they strike out. They can’t see the big picture. It’s weird to describe what I’m talking about but the best way to put it is, look at KVD. He was dominant because he was always confident, positive, but he hardly ever let anything phase him. He was just a master at putting together puzzle pieces and his high speed approach really helped him do that. He’d collect dozens of pieces of data in a couple hours vs. someone collecting that in a whole day. I feel like your style is along those lines as well. Mine too. I have fun just slowing down, grinding, and picking apart an area for every fish it has though.

I can catch fish on the hybrid hunter in grass around areas with out grass and on rocky banks too. I throw it a lot too and when I can’t get anything to bite I throw it and I get bites

I have been throwing it since it came out always always have 2 on deck. Wish you didn’t have to sell them to much info bro. I also found a perfect rod never loose a fish with it scenko stix chatter trap rod perfect rod. Thanks for the tips enjoy your vids

Catchem on wylie with the junior on the chartreuse black and I think the green gizzard. Havent been bit on the larger one yet. No grass where I fish. Always around docks and rocks.

I have seen this bait get bites when nothing else will. Even following Todd's setup I'm still loosing almost all the big fish. All on the first initial jump after hooking. What about changing hooks?

Todd, this may sound crazy to you. Have you ever noticed on livescope if fish will come up to hit the H.H? After all, it is part jerkbait. Right? I fish a small lake with standing timber and Florida bass.

Still I've bought 6 ......all colors. Shallow and and regular. 3 diffrent lakes in va. Still no bites. I have no grass. Yesterday 1.5 kvd square bill Caught 5. I've used diffrent line rods retrieves. Man I have no confadence in it. Love to see an uncut video on one rod challenge just the hunter As of now I'm willing to trade all of mine for one lucky craft 2.5 in flake flake crappie.....that crank bait catches fish and you can't get them.

Yes unless it’s dirty, if your fishing a lot of cover like brush and grass and it’s stained I want it to stand out

H.H is great on my rocky lakes around Abilene Tx on the shallow shore ledges anywhere....love that thing. Hit so many rock with my jr. only came back with the lip tied on;) My question is what if anything determines the size to throw?
