Good learning tool. However, it has no practical use in real life. The plastic would break instantly if it was used to secure something heavy duty

This turbine is a poor design. The active surface is the same with passive surface just the shape of the serface is different and that gives some rotation.

I already know a lot about 3D printing, but this video is absolutely awesome at explaining the process and printing practices for this. If someone asks me about beginning CAD and already knows a teeny bit about 3D printing, I will show them this video. I really enjoyed it :)

I've stumbled upon a few of your prints on Thingiverse, but this is the first one I have printed myself (it turned out great). There are few things that give me solace in this world, but seeing gentleman and a scholar like yourself take the time to give back by sharing your knowledge and expertise inspires me. Thank you for your continued contributions to society.

I've gotten behind on your vids but I truly appreciate you going through the step by step process that you took. While I may or may not have done some things differently, I always love to see a new perspective. Funnily enough, I have been making gears from wood quite a bit in the past year. Just a tip if anyone is interested, cut a pattern and then use a router to make multiple copies.

Used to change bottles of fluorine (ex semiconductor engineer) and remember well, if even a tiny bit had been left under the safety cap we unscrewed, used to go with such a bang, I'm sure the filling guys were having a laugh with us. I've seen all the safety cabinets, explode too ( safety film that pertfied most) also my mate had to have injections under his fingernails when he got them in hf. Acid. Fun job.

Worst spring I ever dealt with was a Ford Ranger rear leaf spring. Designed to rust completely and snap under load. Usually requires fire to remove.

Same. 2009 Ranger. Once they hit a certain point, they burst in a cloud of rust and pixies.

a jam jar jet engine (rienst pot) will rip veg oil to smaller chains to burn efficiently. start on meths, we glued a washer to the lid around the hole, then feed veg oil with seringe to suck under the washer and then a fine stream is sucked in arround the hole, put water jacket , we got 1 gallon 35C from 1 cc veg oil, so a 99p litre oil will heat 1000 gallons of domestic hot water! jet engine for heat not thrust, made from stainless steel.with 8mm hole. (test with patax pickle jar, 8mm hole, 3 or 4 mm meths, shake and light, get ready to put it out after 15 secs to avoid glass break covering table with meths on fire.)
