For the hair tubes, a 3d printed socket with a threaded base would work perfectly for that, then the latex could be wrapped directly around the outside.

What kind of paint can I use to paint over latex? Where I live there is no special paint for latex.

I've been toying with the idea of making a latex hood for a while, I've always made stuff out of leather and whilst I love leather, I want to try my hand at latex 😂 this has given me a lot of useful information, thank you! I'm amazed at how well your items come out, especially when it's you're first time making something, brilliant.

Don't use talcum powder as it often contains asbestos and easily becomes airborne and breathed in. You can use cornstarch. Alternatively you can also use a mesh bodysuit like pantyhose material. The latex will slip over the mesh quite easily and still looks great.
