Kirby is so unique that, I'd argue, nobody would make a good echo fighter for him, but magolor is one of the worst choices, Gooey or Prince Fluff would make more sense Ninten for Ness is a hard choice because while he looks basically the same, both their movesets and even their party members movesets vary wildly, so I'd vouche for Paula to be Ness's echo instead I would put Bonkers as Dedede's echo just because I like bonkers

That's . . . Not how echo fighters work at all. They're functionally identical to the fighters they echo, it's just a alt costume but more visually different and in a separate character slot, so they need to make sense using the same moves and fit the skeleton of the other character so that they can reuse animations, Mangalore would not fit as Kirby at all for example, he floats not hovers (what kirby's weird jump flying thing is called) he can't inhale he doesn't use a hammer or ant copy abilities and he's a magic user, nome of kirby's moveset caries over and vice versa
