hog wash...Mikuni oil pumps are solid! the problem is lack of maintenance to keep then operating as designed. Line dry crack and people do NOT review them. I'm sorry but I do not agree with this video at all. I'd never run premix and after 20yrs I've not had an oil pump failure.

Yup, the pumps never fail. People are too lazy to look at their lines every now and then
@molnarmalibu4702

It’s normally the lines that fail not the pump!
@kennethbrown6497
@kennethbrown6497 Ай бұрын
@@molnarmalibu4702 totally agree! Painting those lines was never a good idea. I had a 951 rebuild I dropped in myself and dummy me bumped the front of the hull opening where the pump was. I felt around and all seemed fine. 20hrs later she seized and I found the oil supply barb sitting on the bottom of hull with the line still connected. Can't blame the pump for that so I must have stress cracked it and enough vibration later and it broke free.

The stop but just grounds the coils to stop spark but I would disconnect it to see if it's constant ground

Btw FYI: the Rotary Valve void with the in and outs doesn’t circulate, it has no pump, the RV shaft just sits in a bath of oil, which needs to be changed every so often.

i just honed a 717 and put new pistons and rings but i only got 95 pounds of compression should it be higher to run?
@lionsdejudah
@lionsdejudah Жыл бұрын
135 is the minimum compression, a good cylinder should reach 150 psi. At 135 psi or lower the blow by will over heat your crank bearings and ruin them.

The little red button that you were talking about pushing while you hit the start button needs to be pulled out that is a safety so that when you wreck or fall off of your jet ski you have a cord attached to your hand that is a safety key that goes on the red button pulls it out when you fall off so it kills the jet ski so the jet ski doesn't end up on the other side of the lake while you're swimming trying to get it it kills it so basically that button needs to be pulled out not in

That's not from heat that is from using the incorrect oil because that gear is saturated in oil and it's actually a pretty good design because it keeps it from destroying the engine if you suck something up into the jet pump if you use the right Sea-Doo oil to lubricate the soft brass against the hard steel they last a very long time

Still no crank I even put the old Starter Solenoid and the old Start/ Stop switch back in still no power to the white wire that goes up to the start stop switch I need to figure out where I'm losing power out of the CDI box?

could be a couple of things: the stator is no linger charging..... the other is the item in the cdi box ...its the charging limiter in the circuit. Or the battery is old and plates are touching.

I just ordered a Timber X ... My concern is a few guys at my local club have had issues with their Timber's main gear, complaining it's a known weak spot. Since I have not yet received or assembled the plane, I was wondering if you might have a recommendation of how to strengthen this area , during the build and before I take it out to the field. Also, the field I fly from offers the choice of a very rough asphalt pad with a lot of cracks or an area of longish rough grass. Also I am a somewhat beginner pilot and would appricate any advise you can offer when I maiden it.... Thanks ....

You said FIXED... what part of that did you not mean 😂 😂... And no the engine should NOT stop when you hold the stop and start button down, that will only kill power to ur coils.
