Great stuff this. Shame Ron had his "issues" he was made for that roll. Hawklords haven't been the same since he left,he has great presence.

Thank you so much for posting this! I’m so happy to hear ‘Rama’ for the first time. As always since 1st seeing Hawkwind in 1982 I think, I love Dave Brock’s rhythm guitar, vocals, & song writing skills 🪐🔭

Me and the Mrs had a great day and evening, all afternoon the town was buzzing with Heads, giving the town a real mellow vibe. Management of the Three Tuns said they have never sold so much booze in so short a time. Great Idea me buying a Vaporiser for the bag of White Wedding I took with us. Smoking throughout. Don't ya miss the 70's 80's era gig's where the whole theatre would be filled with weed smoke and every one was stoned and tripping. Iv'e been going to Hawkwind Gigs for over 50 years now, never once seen any trouble, and a lot of the pleasure of going, comes from the like minded super friendly people you meet.

A couple of fluffs but I was there and even though this is not the Hawkwind of old, they were still the best band there. IMO.

Thanks for posting….been into the Hawks since age 10 back in 1972….. just part of my life, simple as that…..along with Gong and Daevid Allen….great gig by the looks and sounds of it…..in 2017, Hawkwind played on my island of Jersey…first section was acoustic…..second half blew everyone out of the theatre….it was a Sonic Attack…..and I loved every second, jumping around like a loon….er age 55….hehe..

I think that was the Into The Woods tour.
@karlhoward27373 ай бұрын
@@waynepeacock2297 Hi…yes that’s correct, the band only just made it to Jersey from Exeter, fog being the issue, think they only had a short time to get themselves all ready for the gig, it was funny seeing the people just before the gig….hehe think most thought it was a pop band tribute act….and there was me with my Sonic Attack t shirt on, looked very different….the concert was in two parts, great to hear acoustic renditions from 25 Years On album….the brilliant Flying Doctor….Mirror of Illusion, think they played Hurry on a Sundown….second half started with a mind blowing , light and laser show with Born to Go….then for me it was a trip back in time….all the classic Hawks tracks….I do recall the audience did let rip, we were all, well almost all jumping around to Silver Machine….what a night that was, everyone on their game, shame Tim Blake was not with them…Dave was just brilliant….yep, never going to beat that night…..cheers

Two classic Hawkwind tracks , well recorded , nice ,now if only they would do Secret Agent ? Guys were tight and even professionals come in two early sometimes ha, I know ,I"m a drummer , lol, nice to see Dave n keyboard player laughing. great gig by looks of it
@walkingtheboogie3 ай бұрын
Would love to watch them play Secret Agent live. It's a great song. With Hawkwind, who knows. I mean, who'd have expected Mask of Morning, which I thought was Mirror of Illusion because I had a slightly different chorus tune in my head. The chorus tune in my head works for the song, too, even though it's a fake memory. 🤣

I thought the sound mix was really poor. I stood near the siunddesk just to the left and everything sounded muffled and muddy apart from keyboard parts. Could barely hear the lead guitar parts. You can hear the guitar and drums in this vid only because its audible from the amps and drums directly rather than the PA mix. It was like they'd got a pub band PA bloke doing the mix.
