alot of battlebits success was also because of the failure of many AAA fps's at the time near its release. all battlebit was, is a working battlefield with proximity chat so it rose above all the jank games

they could ltierlly jsut add voice chat into Mordhaua dn the game would be 3x ore popular. but no Mordhau mods would rather ban people that talk about voice chat.

It is possible to get the demon eyes to show up in vanilla on your character, but without a cheat you can’t spawn in with them, just like crown/other inaccessible items.

I noticed that Stouty and some of the people here seem to have issues with Chiv 2. Are any of you guys able to explain them to me? Because to me personally, my only gripes with it is the abysmal cosmetic customization compared to mordhau's, the heretical lack of a bastardsword to pair with my shield, and the fact that the longsword is effectively a worse Messer. Other then that, i find it to be a really fun, casual friendly melee slasher thats easy to learn and hard to master.

battlebit's art style worked well because the game was pushing 256 player servers and full structure destruction, literally any trashcan pc could run it fairly well and it also succeeded because the last few battlefield games were not very good and it had been hyped up for a long time with large playtests a game with incredible graphics and no style looks like a completely shit asset flip when compared to a game with great style and bad graphics

I just wanna say, on the topic of art direction and art style: People will in fact play your game if it is STYLIZED to look like a low poly runescape potato game if that is in fact what you're going for. Look at something like Albion Online where they can make Low Poly look really nice and clean, while still keeping it visually interesting at the same time! I think a lot more devs should look into ways to keep their games visually interesting, but not so demanding I guess. Photorealism is cool and all until it's beaten out by another game that does it better. You're much better off making something that is stylized. It makes it easier to develop, and easier to run
