Nice kit. Has potential. But decode seems slow. Can that be adjusted? In a 2 person setup, can you send faster than led will display, or does LED just lag behind? I'm mostly interested in kids being able to send at faster speeds, even if LED doesnt decode.

Thanks! The Telegraph Decoder kit was designed with delays and some amount of slowness on purpose. The reason is so that would be easier to use once built by people that are new to Morse Code. The on board processor is an ATmega, and programmed using the Arduino IDE. We have broken out the programming header on the right side of the board, and made the Telegraph Decoder kit program available on our web page. This way if people are so inclined they may download the code modify it and then reprogram their Telegraph Decoder kits themselves. (There are programming comments in the code describing some of the key delay settings).

7:50 enter the magic of velcro... just sew it to the foam by hand . Or glue nonslip rubber to the bottom foam pad.

Can anyone help me? I'm so frustrated trying to get this to work. I've soldered everything together but I accidentally lifted the solder pad on the speaker. I ordered a replacement speaker with the same resistance and wattage and just installed it correctly again. STILL no sound. All LEDs power on, I just can't get any sound output. Is there anything that might be the cause? I've double and triple checked all my work and everything seems right. The instructions page on the official website did not mention installing the 2 capacitors but I installed them anyway. Are they required?

Very cool. I've checked out your items on your site. Are you going to make a standalone one (like your Drum Kit AI) that just has a USB instead of the 5-pin? I realize you can convert 5 pin with an adapter, but I'm wondering about a just-USB version?

Can the drum kit kit ocho be expanded? If not, what would be awesome is a drum kit kit that supports a full kit. Snare + rim (2) Three toms + rims or aux triggers (6) Bass drum (1) Three cymbals, bell trigger on the ride, choke switch on the crash, pedal for the hi-hat (6, I think) I think that's 15 total. Perhaps make it 16 just in case.

i love the kit but after looking on your store i found that that Ocho just doesn't have enough connections i need more than 8 im probably going to end up building my own i have an Arduino mega so iv got plenty of pins to play with i can just use a pcb connect the Piezo to the arduino like in this guide www.instructables.com/id/MIDI-Arduino-Drums/?ALLSTEPS with the Arduino mega i have 15 ports to play with so on top of a standard drum setup I can have things like cowbells and more cymbals

Can I connect this to a pc keyboard? And then mapping in a DAW?
@guitarraenllamas7 жыл бұрын
yes, If you can send MIDI messages then your daw can use this signal. I did it.
@ohmightyone5 жыл бұрын
For anyone curious about this line of thinking, I don't think a pc QWERTY keyboard will work, as that uses a key matrix, not an individual circuit for each momentary button. To marry the two, consider a C-PAC controller. :)
