400 is actually cheap for an oil change on R8,, I do my own oil change in a mod Rsq8. Using Motul oil and is about 400$

Thank you. I have M550i but am contemplating the M8. I am glad you find it good for daily driving. I also have heard same comment on the sound being better on the 850i. I believe e they may have some rebates going also. Best to you with your decision.

I don't think combustion engines are going anywhere. The Europeans keep second guessing their decision to stop because there's just too much demand and their economy can't take such a drastic change. The Asians are more realistic, make both and let the customer decide.

The first service was $400 is basically for an oil change which is not bad, but they killed you on the second one with the addition of the brake fluid flush which which is labor intensive. I only took my 2014 R8 V10 only once to the dealership for a recall on coolant expansion tank and offered me $2000 for 5 year service which included spark plugs, oil change, cabin filter change which I think is not bad. But I refused it since I know I did not need plugs at that time with my low miles. Five years later it still runs like new with the same plugs. These cars are really reliable than my Toyota Camry. I don’t want to brag but I do my own oil and brake service on my R8 and it is pretty cheap 😂

This V8 BiTurbo actually makes 624hp / 811 lb/ft of Torque: with the addition of the AMG Integrated Starter Generator. An electric motor between the transmission and the engine. Adds 21hp and 185 lb/ft of Torque. I have tested mine numerous times 0-60. I live in the North East so I am not close to see level, I am about 1300' above sea level. I have seen as low as 3.71 seconds 0-60 (not with 1 foot roll out) It is unfortunate that this vehicle is not loaded, missing a lot of desirable options such as AMG Carbon Ceramic Brakes, Carbon Fiber Steering wheel and trim, Burmester HIgh End 3D 1500w sound system. but it is an interesting spec. However, I am missing AMG Track Pace, Dash Cam and the 3D Navigation. But, it appears that the only options currently available in 2023 are Track Pace and the Dash Cam. Carbon Ceramic Brakes, 3D Navigation, Burmester HIgh End 3D Audio do not appear to be available anymore. I could not get Track Pace, 3D nav or Dash Cam due to the chip shortage during covid.. As a fellow BMW guy, it actually took me a while to warm up to this car. I’ve had it since August of 23 and it’s recently grown on me. That Urus is not Jaret Campisi old urus. The color was black with little mods nothing like this Urus that's moded Mansory body kit and Matt silver finish with gold wheels.

I have a speed blue M850 convertible...looks amazing and the performance is very close to the M8. It's almost identical. I'm going to get a custom tune with down pipes and wider wheels. Expecting a safe 720HP which is much more than the M8....you should do the same.

Great video. I just traded in my M5 for a 2024 M850i. So far I love the car and the stock exhaust actually sounds much better than my M5 did. Now that you've installed the FI Exhaust, how to you like it compared to the stock exhaust? I'm definitely considering upgrading but man I don't want to regret it since the stock exhaust isn't bad at all sound wise. Thank you in advance.

Tune it! Moe at DME tuning did a stage 2 with Downpipes on my 850 and I am very happy. I ran the JB4 at first for a few month and it was ok at best.

I have been thinking about getting tune on my 992 4gts manual. just did the exhaust and i’m completely unimpressed with the sound. The issue you had with the transmission, was it a pdk? I would assume that can’t happen on a manual?? Thoughts?

I have not upgraded to the latest 11/2023 update on my m850i yet. It’s been downloaded but I keep ignoring the message lol. I did have an m340i back in 2020 and yes can confirm one of the software updates did make the pops a lot more quiet than previous version. I countered this by having a dinan exhaust and a stage one tune lol.

I have a convertable M850 same color as the M8...as far as power is concerned...its less than 100HP difference and simple tune increases HP by roughly 150 which would be more than the M8. Remember, they have the same engine but the 850 is detuned.

Looking forward to hearing the new exhaust. Usually people just remove resonators on the 850i or M550I but I’d be interested in hearing what an actual exhaust system sounds like on this car. I think it already sounds great but maybe not loud enough for some.
