Every BMW I’ve ever owned has depreciated SO bad. You can most likely find used 2024s with a few thousand miles for $10-$20k below new MSRP

TRUE , used 2020 M8 and used 2021 M3 with similar miles cost same in used car market . Talk about depreciation

Thank you. I have M550i but am contemplating the M8. I am glad you find it good for daily driving. I also have heard same comment on the sound being better on the 850i. I believe e they may have some rebates going also. Best to you with your decision.

The cheapest m8 on carfax is a 2020 m8 for 56k.

lol I actually have that white one saved along with the other 850i I test drove an m8 base as well I’m grabbing a m8 base or m8c I do love the 850i and plan to get a race chip I just wish the 850i had the tips because the specs I want in the 850i are amazing….car max I meant 🙏🏽

Get a 2020 m8 comp they’ve already depreciated your best bet.

I have a convertable M850 same color as the M8...as far as power is concerned...its less than 100HP difference and simple tune increases HP by roughly 150 which would be more than the M8. Remember, they have the same engine but the 850 is detuned.

I've read that there are more differences between the S63 and N63 than just tuning. But yeah, the M850i is fast enough for 99% of people

Nice car, but it would have been nice if you got a salesperson that knew anything about the car. The M vehicles do not have any such power or rpm restrictions. That is just pure bs. I'm glad you realized that your M850 vs the M8C are totally different vehicles. It's the same of all M and M Lite (M850i, X3 M40i, X5 M60i, etc.) vehicles. As you know and the sales guy knew, the M8's are not selling. You should be able to get 8-10% off msrp on any of the M8's. Good luck with your search.

just a heads up, the m8 will depreciate the same way as the m850i. so you'll be taking 2 big hits. personally i'd just keep the m850i and drive it into the ground. that's what i plan on doing with my 840i, then i'll probably get the new vantage. you could always get the ac schnitzer box tune that will take the hp higher than the m8's. it will keep the warranty as well. i've got it for my 840i but personally i think 530hp is plenty, but it's your money.
