This video was 25 minutes longer than it needed to be. Also the original pan comes with a drain plug. You can remove it with a flathead.

My module got fried from either jump starting or disconnection of the battery I’m getting a new battery and also my module repaired.. do I install the battery first and then the module and do I completely disconnect the battery or just the negative when installing the repaired module sorry hope that makes sense 😅

I would plug in the battery first, then plug in the FRM module, however I would also unplug the negative terminal before installing the module, then install negative terminal last.

dude that's an OEM gasket and there is a drain plug on that original plastic oil pan you removed If you look it up maybe watch a video

Got it from EBay, you need to just look up BMW E90 carbon fiber exhaust quad tips, and make sure it fits your year and model

The bolt by the spark plugs in the middle of vcg is snapped. Spins freely. What do i do now doesn’t seem to be leaking

You have to have the little switch which chooses which mirror to adjust has to be flipped to the driver side for it to work

No since your car doesn’t come with the navigation from factory you won’t have access to the Idrive system that BMW gave to the OEM navigation, I also did not have a navigation so i cannot use those features either. But this navigation is as good as it gets in terms of after market!

Have you found out a way to make the sound play through bluettoth? Through the aux, the sound quality isnt great

Hello, as I say in the video the aux is merely to plug into from your head unit to your OEM radio, then you connect your phone via Bluetooth and it plays through the speakers.

@defydegarage Thanks for getting back to me.. I've got my aux cable running from the screen into my car aux port and I still get no sound via Bluetooth. Only sound when I change my oem setting to usb and aux and then it will play but with terrible quality 😭

You only need a tenth amount of that compound for that area. Also letting it sit does nothing

Letting it sit is not ideal, you don’t want the compound to dry out. That’s why it’s best done inside in an air conditioned space. (I was a polisher at a body shop)

Thanks for your review, it answered some of my concerns as a bmw e90 2011(n43b20, no factory nav) owner. One thing you forgot to mention is what configuration it is. There are about a dozen cpu plus memory combos(or more) and it would be helpful to point out which is yours. Some combos have better resolution (720p (height) vs 480p (height) which is much cheaper), better (supposed) performance and audio (snapdragon versions).

Nope the new navigation plugs directly in with the old audio system so it still utilizes the logic 7 audio I have! I actually get to change more settings that include the ranges of the music which is cool.
