@@toras99 you can open the audio capture plugin level there you can see and select your audio devices folder should be somewhere hidden in plugin folder

When i press # in the blurprint search, keyboard elements isnt appearing as an option. Today is my first day in unreal engine so am asking here for everyone who has the same issue in future doesnt have to leave the video to debug. Thanx whoever provides the answer to this issue :)

Found it, though it may be specific to the latest version of UE (5.4.1) You have to type "keyboard event" and then the key you want ie keyboard event T in order to get the precise key in the search. If you just type the word keyboard and then #, youl have to scroll up and locate it manually, or alternatively if you just type the word key and then #, youl have to scroll down and find it manually

cool plugin but i think it would be cooler if the camera would be added to her face, I think the problem is that there is not quite an illusion in this implementation. We have been using the photo analysis for a while now so its not super impressive.

@MarvelMaster Is there a way to give the NPC a camera like the player sees through as we walk around in the virtual world? Cause, it seems like it's not a continuous feed that the AI uses. It always needs a screenshot. Am I correct about that?

@@MarvelMaster In the video they are talking to GPT4-o and can interrupt it. This functionality isn't yet integrated into the API and when it will it will be many many time fasten than the current implementation.

@@nilox4037 for conversation and image recognition I used gpt-4o and for text to speech tts-1, I also expected faster speeds but not sure if its because UE5 uses JSON for comunication.

in a couple months we wont need to send over high res screenshots. It will be able to take audio directly as well as video. No translation to text needed as input transform.

This is really cool . That high res screenshot is definitely slowing this down. If you ran a python screen grabber in the background that just grabbed an image at 2fps i bet it would double the speed of the responses. GPT 4o is supposed to be able to respond in something like 300ms which is nuts. Its virtually realtime. At this rate we will have real time AI next year.

You can't put together that maybe it's this particular implementation that's slow? It's literally describing in detail exactly what he's looking at. Calling it the "Same boring ai" is pretty fucked up

Just be aware, doing this will spawn more debug cameras every time you press P. You can cache the debug camera and check if it already exists to get around it being spawned multiple times if it matters to you.

For those who have issues with unwrapping the Octahedron's UVs, try to Mark Seam and unwrap around other vertices. As of 2.92 Blender I had to unwrap from front side (not back side). For 3.6 Blender it doesn't seem to work at all and after unwrap it always separates one face from the others. So I just had to export from older Blender version. For those who don't know how to add object from other .blend file to yours: On top left select "File" -> "Append", then find .blend file of the scene with that object and select which collection you wish to add it to. You must be in Layout tab though to be able to append file.
