brilliant song.. listen to it heaps and never get sick of it .. Same for lots of VU songs though but this has to up up there. Great album too.. Also love the give and lady godivas operation and i heard her call my name.. Infiitely underrated.

..excuse me, but you forgot the Hungarian band TORMENTOR<1985>with the song Elizabeth Bathori!!! This song belongs with the VENOM&BATHORY odes to countess Bathory. (Check it out if you dont now it, Tormentor singer was Attilla Cshihar(later Mayhem vocalist.). Grtz. J. 🐈‍⬛....🇧🇪

The riff from Bathorys biggest song A Call from the Grave is lifted stolen from Countless Bathory by Venom lol they were so inspired by Venom they even took their band name from a Venom song Bathory are a clone band and can't be respected when they lie and rip off other bands

It's funny to think of their being a "Black sheep" Velvet underground, when the band itself was considered to be the black she of bands at the time. Anyway, I think this song about a group of pre-op trans women who take a sailor home and shoot meth before having sex. A lot of people have done that. Heroin tends to cancel out the sex drive and makes people act much more subdued than these folks were. There seem so be multiple things going on. One person is shooting up while another is giving somebody a blow job. And I always thought that it was not semen on the floor, it was blood. They end up killing the sailor after having sex with them. And then the police come and bust them. But they are still too high to really care. I also think that "White Light/ White heat was about alternating between shots of white heroin (the white heat, because it makes you feel warm)and either coke or, meth the white light (because you're a rush that feels like a flash of light.)

In June 2017 I woke up at 3 am from a nightmare of Elizabeth Bathory slapping a woman she was arguing with and she made her bleed. She then started taking baths in the blood of virgins. Weeks later I saw a post on FB saying that Elizabeth blood obsession started after slapping a woman.

I love this album and the velvet underground and nico. The latter is a more digestible piece but waiting for the man has this beautiful craziness in a more perfected form than the white light songs. Velvet Underground is something else Allright... Great video, I'm going to play some velvet underground now.

Brilliant work on this video. Love the idea of 'Sister Ray' as a litmus test. At the farmhouse myself and other like-minded lunatics inhabited decades ago, if the party was overfilling with drunken trolling frat boys we'd crank Sister Ray loud and in its entirety. This would purge the place of unknown riff-raff, leaving only friends who understood. Then we'd rave on till dawn. You just might stain the carpet....

Bathory obviously copied Venom if you pay close enough attention. Both bands have a song called "Sacrifice" in which particular lyrics are shared, "raise your knife, welcome to my Sacrifice". The band is called Bathory, and Venom has a song called "Countess Bathory", The Bathory song, "Bestial Lust'' is a Venom clone inside and out. Yeah it's all there lol

Lets face It: to me the first whole heavy metal record Is "In Rock" by Deep Purple, 1970. But I am HIGHLY impressed by some bands' songs here and there in the end of '60s by some obscure band's I met here on KZbin. And Caledonia Is one of these! Thanks for this very good video!

it's stunning how ahead of the curve the VU actually were, they were so far ahead they were virtually unmarketable, what a band !!! we'll never see anything like them again, thank fcuk they left us with something that makes life more bearable !!
