You must want to master the violin yourself and for yourself and not others.

Do not try to master the violin in 30 days!. If you really love the violin music, you must allow your psyci to accept enormous grief with the instrument. That is the way with the violin.You may master it in those 30 days but the odds are against you! First teach yourself how to set soundpost if it falls over. Once you master this then teach yourself how to carve bridge blank. Then teach yourself how to measure string length and scale length. After these you will have some knowledge of how complicated a seemingly simple appearing violin so fickle! Get yourself a good shoulder rest and violin support strap so your left hand free to vibrato! Then you may teach yourself or find a master violinist and or class with good teacher. Do not rule out a Viola teacher but I recommend classical trained violin teacher. Good Luck! It is a lifetime endeavor so be patient!
