Stewart Copeland has a similar story telling style to that of Ray Manzarek from the Doors.

I'm sooo happy to see Paul to have found a life partner. He will forever hold Linda in his heart, as we all do when someone dear to us passes...however, I'm certain that Linda wouldn't want him to continue his journey alone. ❤

Sting is a great bassist, vocalist, songwriter and lyricist. Now throw in those looks. Now Copeland and Summers! The Police ruled!

Don’t know how I missed this post. I first heard the police as a teen in 1981 and fell In Love 🥰 with them. I couldn’t articulate for anyone at the time WHY I loved them until recently. It didn’t occur to me to even consider who “owned” or “ started” the band. They were a wonderful salve for my soul and a joy for my intellect with Sting’s lyrics. Only recently did I dive into the lore of the band and gain an understanding of the dynamics of musical creations. Sting may have been the driver, but Stewart was the powerful engine, Andy the luxurious appointments of the machine that is the Police. I will forever adore this band. These stories are like gold.❤

Chastity has her fathers eyes. She got her personality from both of you. I saw Sonny one day at a restaurant, The Garden Restaurant in downtown, Salt Lake City, Utah. I was his waitress. He was alone. It was so shocking to me that it was him. I think he was busy reading the newspaper. I think it was between 1995 and 1998. I think he was remarried and had some young children. I can remember back in the 1960's when I saw the both of you on the Ed Sullivan show and you sang this song, I Got You Babe. I was a young child at the time. I was born in October, 1955. I really liked this song. Y'all were so cute together. I remember when I saw him and after I took his order I ran to my boss and said, guess who I'm waiting on and I told her. She went over to him and talked to him a couple of minutes and she compt his meal. She gave him his meal with desert for free. I think he had become a politician at the time. The whole thing was so shocking to me. When I saw him I think of you even though the two of you were split up long ago. It must have been some time after that he died in the skiing accident. Who could ever think that the two of you could make an impression on a little kid so many years ago.

Tony was the heart and soul of the band, no matter who wrote the songs. Without him there wouldn’t have been Spandau Ballet at all.
