Diggin' the video man, but let's not be teaching bank fishermen to fish off the boat ramp. I bank fish, kayak, and boat and respect all. In Missouri, most ramps are posted "No swimming" "No fishing"... but keep up the good work, I will be watching!

I prefer a 9/0 or a 10/0 circle hook and I think 25lb Monofilament is enough to get the job done but too each their own.

That dirty work job can really cut in on the fishing, I spent 8 hrs yesterday on the water just to watch the kid and father in law catch fish all day while I took home the skunk lol, kid broke his pb so I was enjoying the day watching

Blue cats get up to 100 pounds fairly often. 2lbs is a baby blue cat. Commonly mistaken with channel cats which is what im sure you caught considering it was shallow water and you were targeting trout.
