Hi Sophia and dave ,if you can buy butter milk in your area it's so simple ,using butter milk is the only way I no maybe someone else has a recipe without buttermilk 😊half teaspoon salt,3teaspoons baking soda,2 cups plain flour ,1cup buttermilk mix in bowl empty unto a floured worktop shape into circle ,cut into 4 use frying if you haven't got a griddle it's just as good ,flour your pan put your soda pieces on a low heat and when slightly brown turn also stand on sides to brown they're beautiful just buttered or toasted or fried I hope you understand all that😊 its my age

Excellent idea. The ones here are all cartons. Be prepared Portugal don't really have the same.milk as the UK it's taken me a while to get used to mainly all UHT stuff 😬

I just made sodas yesterday,we had fresh cheese out of m s and one of there caramelised dressings,if you had po box I could sent them over ,hope you and Sophia are chilling out with all the animals x

We have such PTSD when you talk about the "terracotta" floors. When we were first married we were beyond broke but we had this massive concrete patio that badly needing a paint job. We spent $100 that we didn't have on paint we thought was a classy terracotta, but it turned out bubblegum pink! No money to redo, we lived with that sucker for years. Happy you're making it something you love!!

Originally it would have been for irrigation but also to watch cloths and things in too, you can sort of see the washing board on the side. Would be a perfect little cooling off pool but a little to near the road for my liking. I've always wanted to have a few koi so I may try that and use the water for irrigation too ☺️☺️☺️

Hey guys !! You really need to have someone, or google indeptly what type of chestnuts are dropping, they dont appear to be sweet chestnuts as i believe those are a foursome variety. There are about 12 varieties of chest nuts, and my worry is most are toxic to horses and dogs, although i believe Walt would not eat, Sky may be interested on a bored day.

Thought: If some unused mix does set up while your working, what have you really lost? (As long as it's not setting up in the mixer 😂) A couple bucks worth of sand & cement probably isn't worth worrying & overheating yourself over.

Pausing at 10:57, Hi guys its me! I just need to mention how I adore when happy horses roll!❤ Also the kittens playing with you are so prescious times!! While watching the draining of the pond area, i kept thinking you need a good old Canadian snow scooper shovel, to get rid of all that nasty toxic sediment!!! A scooper shovel, remove it all, maybe add a light bleach wash to the bottom, let the bottom dry and start new! As you dont want any plant exposed to some anaerobic bacteria (a bad bacteria that thrives in low oxygen enviroment like sludge, such as "Clostridium".

Those kittens crack me up, they are like furry-supervisors always under foot 😂. I can imagine Walt would love a flirt-pole. I drain my dogs energy very quick and it’s simple to make, lunge whip for a horse 66inches and tie off a dog toy with no stuffing or a thick cloth. I’m sure he gets lots of exercise ❤. In regards to creating a Koi pond, you can’t go wrong having an additional water sources for the Portugal summers. Loving the progress…oh please do record if you enter a arm wrestling competition and I’m sure Sophia can give you a run for your money after she man-handled those hay bails all by herself 😉💪🥰 Have a great weekend 🙂

So many recipes can be found for sweets made with chestnuts, also savouries. We don’t really eat them here in Oz, but when we travel in Japan, it’s usually in winter, and there are so many sweets with chestnut filling.. They make it into a yummy sugary cream for cakes and desserts. Bathroom is coming on.. 👏👏 Cheers to you all💕❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕❤️

Hahahahah I was panicking a bit filming it and trying to avoid staff hence the multiple times turning into aisles hahah. And yeah I've been riding the bike since March and recently went to start it and it leaked fuel and doesn't seem to like to start even with a full battery. Currently cleaning the carbs and thinking I have a loose connection or fuse issue somewhere 🫠

Os esta quedando bien el baño. Aquí en España frontera con Portugal para darle el acabado final existe un mortero a la cal llamado comercialmente AXTON grueso y fino, aquí lo encontramos entre otros lugares en Leroy Merlín. Se aplica en la pared de fachadas o interiores y es hidrófugo, solo hay que añadir el agua. También podéis usar la técnica de Tadelakt ay videos en internet. Nosotros la utilizamos y queda genial. Para ducharse cuando llegue el frío...... podíais aislarlo, con corcho por ejemplo, que hay mucho por Portugal y revestir nuevamente con madera o placas de yeso para humedad y darle algún revestimiento hidrófugo. Las placas y si lo revestis de madera podéis hacer la técnica del Tadelakt o el revoque con mortero de cal. Espero que os ayude.

Ahhhhh I see I will have to look for this. I used Axton waterproofer on the log burner base. I did actually put some hydrated lime in the mix 1 part cement 4 parts silica sand and 0.5 part hydrated lime it seems to make it super sticky which is perfect for render. Thanks so much for the advice 😁😁😁😁

It looks a little crazy 🤪 and you didn’t show us the bramble clean up on the fence line. Sorry I just love a good clean up….. it’s very satisfying 😊😅

Great video guys! your bathroom is getting really nice! And that tank is a plus for your irrigation system, you can connect some drip lines to it and irrigate all the trees, and it will irrigate by itself no need for a pump! Dave you're really brave by dealing with those brambles with sandals and shorts xD

Yo estoy deseando que arregles ese estanque . El agua de estanque es el mejor abono para las plantas cuando tienes peces , aunque yo lo veo un poco pequeño,para Kois . Yo,pondría unos bonitos goldfish de cola de velo , los que son tipo carpa que se aclimatan perfectamente a exterior .

Make the most of that bounty. Chestnut and pumpkin soup with a touch of presunto, roasted chestnuts with maple syrup/honey and chilli flakes or chestnut, cabbage, sweet and sour stir fry (+ meat if you’re that way inclined). Have a good weekend.
