When fitted mine mate , log burner flue that is , I decided to do it internally just for the extra heat it gave me and it stops the flue from rotting long term , I remember you telling me it’s not practical in your case which is a shame just for the extra heat and stronger pull . I love a log burner too and miss it now I don’t have my garage any more , it’s so homely with it. So happy for you .

Heya you two, thought you had the old steamer completely cleaned and going alright, it had a whole family of mice still living there hahahaha. Nice going with the Godin, looks quite the job. You definitely have the right attitude for problem solving and it goes a long way when you're taking on a project like that. Once you get all the little bits sorted the tractor will run for years without giving you problems. Just keep it greased and maintained.👍

@@escapetothequinta cast iron is the best, with a good fitting lid. Also kettle for hot water. Having the wood stove can be quite drying, so if you have a water pot on the stove top it moisturises quite well. Also a fantastic place to hang wet washing overnight. On a clothes horse of course. Cheers Babes❤️❤️

Why didn't you put the stove pipe inside on the roof? Then all the heat would go outside? Or you could have run the pipe through your bathroom, then the heat would be used up there. Get yourself some latex gloves from the pharmacy, they are great when working with paints, glue and silicone. Build a weather protection around your hot water boiler, preferably with Styrofoam as weather and frost protection, then it will last longer.
@escapetothequinta9 сағат бұрын
I wanted the pipe to be hidden and also it would be too hot this room is so insulated any more heat would melt us haha even with a bit of kindling it's super warm. Need to sort out the big hole around it now haha. Great idea with the gloves thankyou. That's exactly my idea with the outhouse make a little sort of box to house the boiler and the pump and to insulate the pump to make it a little quieter as it's not super silent to say the least haha. Thanks for watching and love the comment and advice 🙏🏻🙏🙏
