The Grenadier would have been perfect with IFS. If IFS is good enough for serious off-roaders like G-Class and new Defender, it's good enough for Grenadier. Yes, live axles can be more robust, but the tradeoff is not worth the poor on-road driving characteristics IMHO. If it had IFS, it would appeal to a much larger audience, especially those who have to daily drive their off-roader.

@@jase9951 It is certainly the more common choice. I think a faster steering ratio would make a big difference on road if you compare the Grenadier with the Jeep Wrangler.

@@keithsjourney82 It is certainly a process and I am still experimenting. I tend to ignore most advice as it seems to be based on having to say something new to get the views. I bought one, I don't like how they nickel and dime on the accessories though. I feels like it should come with a thermometer gauge, a silicone insert and a 1st level grate in the cost. A bit cheap and definitely comes across like the Swedish manufacturer is trying to get you on the cost of the IMO mandatory accessories.

As of today it remains in San Diego at the dealership awaiting the final outcome of the Mexican insurance company. It seems everything stemmed from the collision which ultimately caused the computer to shut down the fuel pump. I will do a full video when I go out to pick it up-hopefully very soon!

@@dickinaroundoutdoors8609 did a road test the other day, felt like it is not a city car, but it is not equipped for hard core off roader either, because 90% of them on the lot are not trailmadter. A Mercedes dealer said that many people traded it in with only 300 or 400 miles on it, go figure. I’ll keep away from it since I am not climbing rocks everyday. I need to lift my leg when I tried to brake, this is a bad design. Small side mirror, no blind spot, slow steering… daily commuters should steer away from it. But good luck for your repair. I heard that insurance won’t cover off roads drive, is it true? Some said the factory has stopped production for some reason.

@@XPRoller I don;t think insurance normally covers off-road damage you are correct. My accident occurred at the filling station when someone backed into me. I have not heard of any production stoppage but it is a new vehicle so that is a risk. I don't have much trouble driving it around town with a few exceptions such as tight parking lots, but for daily drivers I would never suggest an suv of any sort. I did buy the Trialmaster for just that purpose so am extremely happy with its performance as an overland vehicle-use case is everything with a vehicle like this and I agree, some people will just see a shiny new thing and get that wrong.

Hi there, nice video. Quick question I’m getting the eco flow alternator charger for my Ineos grenadier and I was just wondering do you know what battery the terminals need to go on because there’s a duel battery system and a starter battery and auxiliary battery? I’m just a bit confused.

You have gove a bit beyond my knowledge level with this question. I would reach out to eco flow as I have never used one. I like the idea of having a wind generator to pair up with a solar panel. You never know if it is going to be sunny but not that windy, or windy but not sunny when you’re out camping or just outdoors. Plus it could help in a blackout. I think I would prefer a straight forward generator without the built in battery. ✌️🇺🇸

The spike tip on the pole looked good on paper! Or on the computer screen! lol That’s one of those typical Pointdexter engineering mistakes! Why can’t designing things design something without screwing up? This whole wind turbine idea is ridiculous just like solar ridiculous! If I wanted to recharge my campers system, Boondocking, I would have to wait for a windy day. My luck I wouldn’t have any wind at all during my vacation. I’m not going to count on wind or sunshine to charge anything I’m going to start up my 2000 W Yamaha generator. Anything green is total BS! Can 50 to 80 years they’ll probably have fusion Honda and Yamaha generators for Boondocking!!! Our lifetime though that’s the sad thing fusion nuclear energy is just around the corner! Fusion nuclear energy energy would change everything!!! I’ll see it for you. This turbine kit is grossly overpriced for what it does.

I was a big proponent of buy once cry once as well when it comes to showers. I have 3 expensive ones that I rarely or never take camping anymore because their just bulky and a hassle to put away. Simplicity wins the game. Truck stops, pocket shower bags, or a bucket with a pump mixed with hot water is simpler to maintain and takes no space at all.

Really useful vids so please keep them coming. As some have mentioned whilst I like that you shown alternatives for winching, from a safety perspective I want as little metal in the live lines as possible and the F55 represents a significant injury risk due to its weight. People will obviously do as they want but the heavy metal object will realise that stored kinetic energy for more than soft materials. The downside is that the soft materials will wear more and faster, but for me that means refreshing those consumable parts because they are exactly that - consumable. If your running synth rope you need to understand that it degrades even when not used and just sat on the drum, especially in harsher climates.
