My parents had a 75 Salon for around 10 years until they had carb issues that they never could find a mechanic that could fix it back then. My dad still talks about that car. Love the body lines of 73 - 75.

That engine made automotive history 40 years ago, sadly enough the general let the bean counters take the car off the line.

Petty was mostly a Plymouth (Ford in 69] man not technically a Dodge guy like Buddy Baker #71. I remember these back in the day.

They made a racing spec car that looked like that but was for a failed series.Dale Earnhardt was a development driver in the program.

No such thing as a "big block 400" Pontiac engine in a Grand Am... All Pontiac V8s have the same external dimensions, except the 301 smogger.

I graduated HS in 1987. It was the sickest beast in existence. My cousin had one, but I've never ridden in one. My dream car. He keeps saying that they didn't make sense. I think they made perfect sense, visually. The 85 Hurst/Olds and 442 looked just as good, maybe better. They just had no power. They would make perfect LS6 swap. My favorite Pro Stock car of all time was Warren Johnson's Hurst/Olds.

Why did they make 170 full throttle on trans break where it’s hard to feel the energy going back. They should have kept this style trans break

I bought my DCM 1996 Impala SS on Nov 05, 1995. She was my daily driver for 16 years. I miss that car. She was my starship Enterprise. Meaning it was huge, and it had a warp drive that took you to 158 mph.

My first car was a 1978 Dodge Aspen, fresh from the factory with that same red interior, no radio, no air, slant 6, just power brakes and steering. Those interior shots were my original interior. They had put some odd options on it, which probably was why it had sat on the lot all year. Modified that car heavily in the five years+ I had it, drove it all over, including one lap of the Indy brickyard, never let me down after I learned to always have a ballast resistor in the glovebox.

I remember as a boy in about 1977 being at a now closed Dealership in Simcoe Ontario with my Dad,,, They had the way more common red RT same model, we stopped to look at it,,, My Dad had worked for Chrysler from early 50s to 1975 ,, He never treated himself to a new car , as his family came first,,, vacations ,, cottage , dental work,,,, He was one of the best men on earth,,, I miss him. His fav motor for the regular guy was the 383,, 340 and slant six.He also said about the second hemi that came out for the letter cars, Too fast for young men.

Thsts y u always put a hidden gps tracker on all your cars. I usually put 2-4 hidden trackers on every car I've owned for the past 10 years. They are about three quarters of an inch in diameter and can be hidden anywhere anywhere in or underneath the car. They have 4 self tapping screws with each one or if you put it underneath the headliner it comes with 2 way tape. The kit is $25 each but I spend the $100 for 4 and u can track it on your phone or computer and its accurate to 2 feet. And u can track it if its being driven. Im sorry it got swiped though. My condolences guy's but u've gotta stay a few steps ahead of the crooks. That car would've been easy to crack the ignition and column and just start it with a screw driver. Good luck next time
