Thus, they work and save and update their cars when they can in the hopes that one day they'll be finished. These are the people that never get the credit they deserve and they're also the ones that keep the industry alive. Exactly, bro. I Have an 89 5.7 IROC that I adore. It's a nice car, I have done some mods to it here and there and will, at some point, make it my "perfect IROC". One of the reasons I bought it is because I watched Mike's "Perfect Iroc" Video.. and I was like.. "you know what? I like those Camaros". When I think of a Camaro, that is the car that pops into my head, as I am almost 40, that is the car I liked the most when I was 11. It's not a Shelby Cobra, or a Buick GTX Stage 1, or a Chevelle SS with the LS6, or a Custom Retro with an LSX swap... but it's a car I love, that I grew up with, and that easily fit my budget. Every time I watch this show, I go and take my car out, or go wrench on it a bit. This show is a show that every car guy can relate to and it's very refreshing.

Great down to earth show. When I saw the Coupe De Ville & Grand Prix in the back ground I got teary eyed, because my dad had both of those cars at the same time, in the same colors. My brother, sisters & my self all learned to drive in those cars.

The 1973-77 Cutlass is my favorite generation of that model. Oldsmobile was a great brand, and I know Ransom E. Olds is proud it lasted that long.

My Grandfather put 40yrs in there, and my Mother still works there, even after dropping Olds. Maybe I'll get an old Colonnade one day. My mom had a 75 Cutlass. She bought it in 1980 and we sent it to the junkyard in 1996, due to a blown transmission. It was just a 350 engine but everyone in the family drove it. Sometimes we called it the Supreme or the Bus but mostly we called it The Rig. It came with wire wheel hubcaps but living in West Philly my mom had them taken off and just rode the steel wheels because she was afraid of wire hubcaps getting stolen. Dark Green with white vinyl interior. I loved the colors. As a non air conditioning, it was very hot in the city cruising. But a lot of cruising we did even down South street. Good times.... Good times indeed.

I was born in 1973, I had watched Smokey and the bandit (who doesn't remember watching it for the first time). I can clearly remember standing on pinkney St in circleville Ohio at the pumpkin show parade in 1977. Here comes a 1975 Hurst Olds with the Hurst hatch roof. A young girl was standing on the passenger seat with her head above the roof. I was mezmerized by the hatch roof that I had saw in the movie. I have always loved this car. The car that was in my small town was a w-30 as well but had the black top. (I personally love the white top) beautiful car. Congrats on what you have done with it! I truly enjoyed the post.

It was her fathers when she was a kid but he sold it to a buddy when she was a teenager. He was able to convince his buddy to sell it back to him so it could remain in the family. Well that was 2006. My parents had a 75 Salon for around 10 years until they had carb issues that they never could find a mechanic that could fix it back then. My dad still talks about that car. Love the body lines of 73 - 75.

Both of these guys are true enthusiasts and masters of their domaines. I’ve known Andre for the better part of 25 years and he cruised his moms 75 cutlass. The loss of his mother devastated him and his brother and I’ll never forget how we started hanging out back then. We were the only two guys with these slow ass barges and we didn’t care. He followed through with his plans on redoing his mother’s car and i can’t wait to see what he did to it. I’ve come to know mike about 11 years ago after he and Andre did BULLRUN. At first he was Andres adversary but that was only through editing. Mike is a true mans man as well as Andre. They have a likability that’s unparalleled. Down to earth, shirt off their back kinds of guys. I’m proud to know them. Keep it going guys.

Man this was the episode I didn't know I needed. From the young kid loving muscle cars and everyone saying they're too expensive and a kid can't handle one. To being 22 and owning a 74 Dodge Charger and 78 Pontiac Firebird. To also the point of getting ready to start college and wanting to be an animator and create comic books and tv shows. Knowing that's what I really want and hearing that you two guys worked your asses off and got there lets me know if I keep working my ass off I can get there too.

when I was 16 back in the mid 80's, My first car was a 74 olds Delta 88 with the 455. one thing to keep in mind was that GM switch to a net HP rating in 72. so numbers were lower across the board compared to the same engine in 71. net HP numbers are around 25-30% lower than a gross HP number. so the 210hp 455 is actually making around 275 HP at the crank. it was probably a little under rated as well for insurance reasons. its most likely a 290-300 HP engine. they made metric shit ton of torque. My dads corvette broke a u-joint and was being fix. my dad barrowed my can to go to work, the Thermostat stuck and it blew a head gasket. I got a red 76 Camaro 350 4 speed with f41 suspension about a week latter. in 76 it was as close to a z28 as you could get.

I remember back in the days before KZbin became a thing watching both of you guys at bull run. And that was my first Introduction to muscle cars. Back then it was the fast and the furious era where stickers neon lights and turbo noises were the shit. Even though I have a V6 mustang (So bring on the hate) but owning this thing is like having a piece of history in my position. It's like having Steve McQueen grandchild as a friend and remembering over and over how cool his grand father was. I'm difnetly getting a proper muscle car in the near future and will modify the shit out of it.

1:17 I had a 4 door grand am with a 400 "big block" in (Pontiac Blocks are all the same size) - Bought it for $400 in 1986. Thought I'd be smart and put in Castrol Racing Oil! 20W-50! Killed it! Death knock almost immediately afterwards. :-( When the engine went, parts literally fell out of it as I accelerated with the death knock getting ever so louder. Then...silence.... Wonder if this was the same car that was doing the burnouts in Rego Park? Ha! Don't recall seeing many 4 door Grand Am's since then either.... Very cool car Andre! And I totally agree with the last part of the video - do what you want to do career wise.

Actually, the ads at that time said the Colonade was in reference to the town car style of rear roof line. This one, of course, does not have the "opera windows", a reference to the days of the rich taking their coach to the opera. Its funny how Ford created the Thunderbird to compete with the Corvette, but realized its Y block was too heavy for a sports car, so they created the "personal luxury car" segment that would replace muscle cars in the 1970's. Even pony cars had a personal luxury edition (Mustang Grande, Challenger SE, etc) option. The Olds 4-4-2 was always a great handler, because it began as a police option while the GTO lacked a rear sway bar, thinking that would hurt the ride. By 1970 other muscle cars caught up, becoming "supercars", a title given by reviewers in New York city magazines from Harris Publications (CARS magazine, etc).

I’m a full time student. I want to make it run again. My mother told me even since I was in sixth grade. It was going to be mine. The car I have is part of my family. I hate seeing sit there. I’m slowly working on it. I’ve released the radiator and all the hoes. Now cleaning the carburetor. I’m also a big video game player and collected. RockStar is one of my favorite franchise to buy. I find those kinds of car way more interesting than the average muscle cars. Don't get me wrong because my dream car is a 69 RS SS Z/28, but I guess that's not your average bear either. Keep loving what you're doing so I can keep loving it. As for the T-Top always leak thing, yes they do, oh hell yes they do. I spent a fair amount of time figuring out how to adjust them so that they don't leak. It's not really that hard to sort out either. Keep it up man.
