That was my son's favorite from the One Cylinder video, he said "that tractor's too rusty, it won't start" lol
@Rainhill18292 жыл бұрын
Ah yes, you should hear it now! More work has been done to its internals and now it runs almost like new.

What RPM's do these single cylinder tractors operate at?
@Rainhill18292 жыл бұрын
Often never more than 600.

What is with the lanz tractor with front wheels on bricks?
@Rainhill18292 жыл бұрын
I believe its a 35 or 45 horsepower model, slated for eventual restoration.

That misfire it had when it is pulling on the sled... I'm not a mechanic, but could that be a dicky injector (I believe it's called an "atomizer" on engines like this) or injection pump?

Interesting you should mention that, so in the time between this video and now he has opened up the combustion chamber and found the pre- combustion chamber port badly distorted and burned open. This was the reason for the uneven firing. He swapped the chamber and it runs good now.

Was this tractor once brought to Canada to work on the fields or was it meant to be a star at old timer demonstrations? This question comes from Germany.
@Rainhill18292 жыл бұрын
This tractor was exported to Australia when it was new, then discarded in the outback when it was retired. The fellow who owns it now brought it to Canada and has restored it internally only, deliberately leaving the outside in “as found” condition.👍
