What yrs could you find the LSD in the 240. 1988, 1992 are the choices at the local. Thank you guys. Just checked a local junk yard on line they have two Volvo’s one just came in a few days ago both are 240’s 1 is 1988, 1 is 1992 the 92 just got there. Thank you for a fast reply. Volvo Dana 30's are the 1036 open or the 1046 G80, tag is on the axle easy to spot in the yard without disassembly.

Anyway to tell me if this G80 in a dana 30 up front will fit on my 2002 WJ 4.7 V8 with select trac transfer case. All other locker don’t seem to me work as well as the ones to guys have on your jeeps. Also how are they in snow on the road? I called Eaton today and was told Eaton never placed G80 in Volvo.lol yet video’s show different!!! Thank you guys for the information in the video’s.

why did you leave the tierod under knuckle instead of going over knuckle as well

Not sure if it's worth commenting here, but I do have a few questions. Do you retain the 5x4.5 bolt circle, or do those spacers also act as lug pattern adapters? Is there any worth in getting a RHD (Europe, Canada(?)) spec WJ knuckle for the passenger side? Are brake rotor options limited as a result of any changes to the bolt circle? Thanks!

how well does stock xj master cylinder handle the wj calipers?

So a 740 Turbo without the tow package would not have it? And is there a simple way to know the gear ration before pulling it out?

Found a g80 in a 940 turbo with 3.73 gears and I have stock 3.55 gears in my Jeep wouldn’t work with stock gears would have to regear to 3.73 or higher would have to find a Volvo with 3.55 anyone have one they would swap with me

Could I simplify and just say it's a 27 spline G80 Dana 30 Volvo diff? When searching for one. Saw them on eBay. And I definitely wouldn't call it a limited slip as it has no clutches to let one side slip. Like in old hot rod axles they called "posi". The G80 does actually lock at some point, as you have demonstrated in your video. One guy called it a "situational posi". Whatever, it actually locks when it does lock. There is no slip when it is engaged. Thanks so much for these videos. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

You should use 20-gauge wire instead of cat5. Cat5 isn't suitable for engine bay wiring. 20-gauge is still very thin, and heat resistant.
