It occurs to me that I may be missing context of some sort. For example, if this is just referring to group chanting of inside jokes then that makes sense. On every rewatch I always feel that Ayda was originally supposed to be an adult in the first episode she appears. But then Brennan realizing that she has such amazing chemistry with the main cast, both in relationship dynamics and how they influence Ayda's character herself, decided no shes going to be at the teenage point in her life in order to make everything feel more natural as she becomes one of the main NPCs party members of the season
