I love Hamcus, but it's so "out there" in style that I think you can only really wear it by itself. As in, in an entire Hamcus outfit. I had a pair of pants once (you can see them in my J1E video), sold that because it didn't have a zipper, which made it very impractical.. And I still have a silk t-shirt which is great, but again very difficult toi style with other stuff I have. I bought my gf a 2 piece from the Adidas collab last year, which is really cool and more "street style", as in wearable. I could make a video about that some time!

@AggaCityGang I guess that is true. I was more referring to dropped below the knees like the p25. I also dont buy from their main site as importing into canada is a nightmare. Bought the p30a-E but have been wanting a dryskin model and didn't like the length of last years p30al-ds.

@@Baltabak Yeah, but I don't really see how Milliken would be a very usefull overpant fabric. An overpant is usually mant to be wind and or water resistent/proof, so your thermal layer can be just the insulating fabric by itself right? What would Milliken add to that?

I personally don't really "believe" in sizing up or down. If your regular size is not a good fit in a certain model, I think the model is not for you. But maybe I have a body type that is very close to the "standard". J1W is meant to be an oversized jacket, so is the J121. SO I guess if you like the fit of downsized J1W, you should also downsize on the J121. I look at the models. I think Lenny has the most similar body type to mine, so I usually look at how it fit's him, to determine if I will like the fit.

According to the label, with technical detergent like Nikwax or Granger's, in a washing net, in an outdoor cycle (that usually has double rinse). After drying, revitalise the DWR with an iron with a piece of cloth in between at a setting that is appropriate. Please be smart about that, I don't want to take responsibility in you melting your pants😅

@@deebee3867 Well I just got is , so I haven't worn it that much, an dI don't think I wil wear it over my nose all the time. My main purpose for it is to protect my GTX shells form my neck oils, so the auxzip function is the most important for me, that is can be attached and stay in place on a shell collar

I really don't think it has anything to do with whether the brand is in a "slum" or not. People just like the jacket. It's not that deep 😉

@@AggaCityGang overhyping is an unfortunate byproduct of when the previous product was so poorly received that people are willing to overlook things to feel that sense of "this brand is good again". I respect the personal belief, but when I was using the term I was thinking of it in an entertainment product context which may not apply as directly to fashion. I did say "slump" not slum, which is something you pointed out in one of your other videos by just the fact that stuff is sitting. I didn't think it was that deep, and even though I like your videos I don't need the patronizing tone😉. It's a 1700$ jacket made relevant by the niche game that only some people have played and actually like the gameplay, yet when it drops its the best thing ever cause kojima. so its healthy to question what is perceived value vs what factors actually made it "liked".

@@AggaCityGang Black. I didn't get the j1a-gtkp because I thought the yellow pocket in the middle was too eye-catching. The orange portion on the j91 feels much more acceptable to me.

Well there's a ton of J1W's and other very wide Acronym shells now you could wear it under, so I don't think that is a valid point in the "justification" discussion. Also "justifying" buying any garment at that price point is a bit...If you can easily afford it and want it, you should, and if you don't, you should not. I think we shouldn't make it more complicated than that. Did you get the GTKP?

I mean... you don't have to wear it that way even tho it's meant to be, depends on your climate and current weather.

​@AggaCityGang i agree with this take, it's wearability with another jacket and then bringing up the price shouldn't really be a reason you're buying into clothing that's thousands over dollars. It's stand alone value and considering it's usability with things that aren't jacket related would be more reasonable of thought because of its alrdy robust feature-set and it ALRDY being a jacket itself and a fairly insulated and warm one at that. My acg insulator comes to mind when I think of this thing just way less feature packed and can imo be warn as insulation without me thinking about it too much.

@@absencesilhouette8048 I think actually maybe this one is even a bit too "featured" to wear as an insulating layer under a shell. There are so many zippers and and pockets and things on the outside, it might be seen poking through a GTX shell, and/or even damaging it from the inside. I think it's "strength" is being a very unique looking water resistant, warm sci-fi looking jacket (the orange one especially). Covering it with a shell would even be kind of a shame, then you might as well just get some other way cheaper, unassuming insulator.

@@AggaCityGang I see your point about it being too feature rich to be worn as a insulating layer, there's obviously the normal J91 or J58 for that. TBH after initial thoughts, it's better to see the WSDB as a turnt up bomber jacket/puffer than an insulator. I understand your point on "If you like it and you can afford it, get it." though, a lot of people see it that way, and I too use to be like that, that's why I bought the GTKP years ago. But as I am now in my stage of fashion, I find that mindset a little too reckless. Maybe it's just fatigue from over consumption. Or maybe I'm just bitter that I can't YOLO buy the jacket, because I'm in the process of getting new camera equipment lol. Does it mean I won't get the jacket if it pops up on the grey market? Probably not, I still find the jacket cool and it would be nice to have both jackets in the collection even though I don't rep Kojima like that. I'm afraid I can't really say anything about the games, because as I've said, I am not a gamer and have played any of his games. Although...I might have played MGS1 at a friends house like waaay back then haha. Anyway what you're saying about the UK vendors, that is not true. I have read someone say this before, but Acronym is still available on several UK vendor sites. Or do you mean like "from now on"? As in they won't be buying new seasons? I doubt that it would have anything to do with his "political posturing". He's not Kanye. Most retailer buyers of Acronym probably don't even know who the designer behind those pieces is. Or care for that matter.

@@AggaCityGang You can see that nothing is moving and only when they hit deep sales people buy. The whole economy worldwide is so f'ed up right now even the luxury market which was kind of immune to financial hardships of the masses is taking big hits. Most retailers most likely will not be reordering Acronym. Its just so hard to sell purely online to people who know nothing about the brand.

But at the same time I have been finding amazing (used) deals on some older Acronym as well as Nikelab ACG, but also other designer stuff like Maison Margiela, Gucci, Valentino. If you are in the market for used designer, it's a real party now 😅

@@comradedumkov9499 I don't think "OG fans" are relevant for the (or any) brand to survive. Personally I think fan culture on the internet has grown to an absolutely terrible and insane situation in which "fans" feel entitled to demanding anything from brands/artists/makers etc. Fans are not entitled to anything. Creators create things, and consumers (which is what fans are) can either like and buy it or not. Good thing that Sufu is dead, it was one dark hole of negativity anyway. If you like something a lot, you are a fan, and if you stop like it, you just stop being a fan. Brands or Artists don't "need" to retain their fans, and certainly don't owe them anyhting. I really detest that notion. I very much support Doja's take it, don't know if you are familiar with what "happened" to her.

@@Gangreen167 Haha, well I think the very different, unique colour, the aquaguard zippers in contrasting colour, the sleeve pocket, the tension zip side pockets, the hood, the (contrast colour) zip-sling, the graphics and the black panels under the sleeves, all together make it a pretty different jacket. I mean, it's a J91, it's called a J91, but it's pretty different than the previous iteration. If you look at all the J1W's we've seen release and the minimal differences between them, this is definitely a step further. This is not just a J91-WS with different graphics on it. I mean, if you don't like the price that is fine, but it's not "just j91 at double the price".

@@DinkoDarlinn That is a very good point! Thought I don't think many people will actually be wearing sunglasses at the same time as their gaiters. Those sunglasses are just for show. It is afterall "techwear", which is as I have mentioned before fashion first and performance second. IMO

@@0oSiLveRo0 But a shemag is qui te a different type of "scarf" isn't it? I personally wouldn't appreciate all the acces fabric of one, even a scarf feels like "too much" for me. That's why I prefer a gaiter.

@@AggaCityGang fair point, I have a Garuda fleece gaiter. I might whip one of these up to try with some ps, I'm sure it's a fairly simple pattern. The excess material of the shemag is really nice, it's more like armor. I think when these aren't zipped they look really good, like the collar look, but wouldn't really want to wear them on the street zipped up either.

@@0oSiLveRo0 If you just want to try some PS you can probably find a cheaper gaiter. The zipper design does pretty much make this piece. Tho at the 70% off price, a PS gaiter from another (decent) brand will probably cost almost as much.
