Finally found a guitar, with almost exactly the same specs as the Martin OMJM, John Mayer's signature Orchestra Model acoustic guitar, but at 1/6th of the price of an OMJM!

Thanks! Me too, I mean I might be able to buy a Martin at some point, but it just feels like spending that kind of money while not being a professional musician is kind of out of pocket. And this Sigma plays and sounds absolutely amazing!

Great video! I found a brand new one on Reverb for 638.93 + $173.34 Shipping or $812.27 located in UK. I’m in the US so don’t know what VAT or any other taxes would be. I have since found another alternative that is equal to Martin quality but at half the price. It’s the Zager ZAD900 Solid Spruce/Rosewood Acoustic Pro Series for $1720. I’ve owned a Zad80ce and can attest to its quality and sound as well as a lifetime warranty. You can only buy online which is why they can sell at such a good price. The majority of their guitars are sold with 1 3/4” necks but you can order any guitar with 1 11/16” neck. I am thinking of ordering the ZAD80 again with 1 11/16” neck as I like the added warmth of the Western red cedar top And it’s only $1395. I think Mayer likes the Spruce top because he plays with a band in big arenas. I only play at open mics or for friends and family with no amp so the warmer sound works better for me. Overall though for the price you paid you got an excellent guitar and if could find one here without the shipping I’d probably buy it. Reverb accepts returns but I’d be on the hook for shipping both ways..ouch. Zager has a 30 day return policy and they pay shipping both ways.

In the US they are sold in the AMI name, I don;t now if this specific model is or will be release in the US, I would advise you inquire with them ami-guitars.com/
