The story of the metallic flecks in the paint changing the guitar’s tone was Adam pulling our leg (as Tool have been known to do through interviews with journalists-one time he even said he won’t remove a screw because it would mess up his tone. He also joked that he keeps his old Marshall head in the freezer). The greening of Silverbursts happens because the clear coat over the finish discolors from UV and just changes over time. If you take a 79 Silverburst and remove the stained poly finish, it’s as silver as the day it was painted. Good playing.

Happy Birthday man. I received mine a few days ago and just had it professionally set up today. Normally, I don't keep guitars for more than a year or two, but this one is staying. I've never been this impressed with an Epiphone before, and this is my fifth purchase from the new "Inspired by Gibson" line. Including the '59. I hope you like yours as much as I like mine.

richard clark Same here, I've got a 2019 LP Traditional that plays great, but weighs about a million pounds and an old SG Standard that is beat to death, but still plays nice.

Thanks! Yeah I've resold quite a few guitars too, but I also think this will be a keeper. It's still a little bit buzzy, but I'm gonna put skinnytopheavybottoms on it , so maybe that will do the trick other wise put the bridge up a little bit higher. I think the intonation is already very good!

This is one guitar that equals in Gibson pretty much. I just placed my order today. But I also got a Gibson custom. Ebony is just boring though.

Really good playing. Enjoying mine as well. Impressive guitars..Epiphone has come a long way in a short period of time. Only thing I'll change is the tuners and maybe neck pup.

@Agga City Gang I think most les paul neck pick ups are a bit muddy. I have a late 70s t top pup in my gibson to my ear much cleaner sound. I'll probably try one out in the Epiphone. Easy enough to try different different things to achieve a tone that's good to my ears anyways 😆

I wish epiphone would have done as good of a job on the Lazarus as they did on these. These look the same as the Gibson version. The lazarus looks nothing like the original.
