I feel like maybe having some other van lifers on to do challenges with in a joint venture would be good. I’m sure most of your viewers understand you can’t always be doing van builds. In my opinion it’s ‘horses for courses’: a simple gas cooking set up and a diesel heater would be priorities for me. You could still use your all electrical system most of the year as it’s ‘free’ with solar, but having emergency back up would be my choice. Effectively you have the equivalent of EV owners’ ‘range anxiety’!

One option would be to do a night at a campsite to charge up. Maybe do laundry there at the same time. A useful friend or an EV charger are other options.

Can't see what the issues were, as I thought the Scotland videos were spot on. There are enough "van build/repairs" out there, do if that's all they want then they can watch them. It's your video blog about what YOU do in an everyday life of vanlife. But I guess it's a case that you can't please everyone all the time.

Dude, I said I like the build vids more, but dont take it as hate, brother. We understand the price of the build parts dont stress. We also like the normal life stuff you do picking up your lad,taking him out, going on hikes showing us the real life in the van. Keep up the great vids pal. 👍

Tbh I think it was your imaginary friend aspect on the vid that was rather off putting. Just a travel video of the sights and journey would have been better for me . If you don’t try you don’t succeed.

There are only so many van build videos you can do! We found our ‘van’ build vids more popular, but also transactional. Not necessarily extra subscribers. Our videos are about us! We did amazing trip to France 🇫🇷 and Belgium 🇧🇪 to visit our fallen family (14 between us). We do other stuff too and KZbin cannot understand our constant pivots! BTW. Ours is a Citroen Berlingo ‘just for the weekend van life’.
