Colorization has gotten so good that sometimes you can't tell if is original colour or not. A lot of the old generation who saw the original broadcast is dying off and a new generation that was not brought up on B&W and so has no nostalgic association with the old episodes I'm sure would have no problem with the change so long as the colourisation looks authentic. A good example where colorization has worked is the old Zorro episodes on Disney Plus which have been introduced to a new generation.

I still remember watching "the American Dr. Who" movie here in Austin TX when it premiered. Considering that up to this point the show was shrouded in mystery to me, having prior only managed to see most of one episode on a weekday afternoon when I was off school for some reason. In my memory it was a Tom Baker episode, there was little or no musical score and the Doctor essentially wandered around in a desert expositing for a half-hour. I had read the Marvel reprints of the TB-era Who comics, and from those I got a pretty clear picture of what excited people about the show and that had *me* excited. As far as the actual McGann MOW, I recall it being pretty cool but hardly life-changing. The fact that I remember it at all says quite a bit though!

Amazing set :) I have all the steal books never opened especially but only missing 5,50th and 9 and 12 as more proffer them sealed as collectors edition and only still missing spear head and the invasion Dalek steel book I can’t wait till it’s complete as it’s taken me now near 5 months lol

Love S22. A favourite. Saw it on original transmission. Love this set; so much interesting bonus material. My favourite special feature is the extended Part One for THE TWO DOCTORS. and the workprint VENGEANCE ON VAROS. Such a shame no additional footage remains for ATTACK OF THE CYBERMEN (my favourite serial of the season). I own the UK LE (for the original REVELATION audio) and the Australian LE. Only need S21 to complete Colin Baker’s run.

The making of Doctor Who was an NJN special.. NJN was the New Jersey network a PBS station in New Jersey… Living in Philadelphia and being able to get the broadcast is how I got to watch many episodes of Doctor Who in the 1980s… I also watched on WHYY which was a PBS station for Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Wilmington, Delaware… NJN sold the rights to many other PBS stations across the country…. PBS are government funded stations and also are funded through donations.

The 25th season is the 2nd worse season ever made…. The worst being season 24…. What a terrible era… if it wasn’t for Remembrance, it would be the worst

I'm looking forward to this, but I'm a bit worried with the upscale that has been going on with the Collection sets. The trailer doesn't really put me at ease with it, nor did the Season 15 restoration which looked like they used some AI upscaling, especially in the film sequences for Invasion of Time.

I wasn't bothered about the Blu-ray collections, until now! I pre-ordered this as soon as it was announced. Then I bought a Blu-ray player, cus I didn't have one. Then I bought Seasons 8, 12, 14, 24 and 26 to watch whilst I'm waiting for my preorder in October. Season 25 was my first series I saw on first Broadcast. McCoy is MY Doctor. And Remembrance is my favourite story of classic Who. Loving the Blu-ray. Especially the Gogglebox like 'Behind the sofa". Great video, as always btw 👍

Remembrance was a good story, particularly after the disappointing S24, but I can leave the others, so I probably can't justify buying this one.

Cool series 25 is my favourite Sylvester morcoy series of doctor who and we two era of doctor who complete with are Silvester mcory and Colin baker and I love remembrance of the daleks
