Hopefully Season 2 come out after this one. I always felt Colin’s era was very underrated and I enjoyed a lot of his stories so this is a treat.

I stick to the standard editions purely because I missed out on the limited sets for 12 & 19 so I thought I’d just continue with the standards to keep things consistent.

I got my first doctor who Blu-ray last month and it was the standard version of season 8 and they are the ones that I will be getting.

If the standard editions were released alongside the limited editions, then I would strongly consider them… despite not looking as nice. (The artwork really shines on the LE sets.) But the two year wait kills that idea. For me, it’s all about enjoying the content instead of waiting for specific packaging. I do find it slightly odd that you collect both steel books and standard DVDs for animated releases, which takes up a lot of shelf space per story… but then you’re selling off your limited edition collection sets, which are considerably more compact than the DVDs were. Not sure I catch the logic there, but to each their own. 🙂

When new Blu-Ray sets are announced, i sell on the DVDs for that season! So I still only end up with one copy of Classic Who stories! :)
