Even in Mexico you have the right to bear arms. In the constitution of 1857 article 10, you had the right to keep and bear. But later after Revolution, Gov changed the constitution in article 10, where you have the right to keep but bear is hardly difficult to do it due its regulations. Even to buy a gun there is only one store allowed in Mexico city. You can buy hunting rifles but nothing else. In my opinion they changed the constitution to avoid people insurrect and look how they are now.

So here's the thing with DJI drones in warfare: you need to get them to the battle front somehow because they are very short range. That makes them not really a threat to an aircraft carrier. They are only a threat in close range warfare.

US drone companies are struggling to source parts, especially after removing Chinese parts from the equation. The majority of rare earth minerals are mined in China because that country has the majority of mining facilities in operation. Natural resources potential of Russia is over 20% of the world's reserves. This fact places Russia on a special place among industrialized countries. 🥸💌

Considering China's historical relationship with the world, particularly at the conclusion of the Qing Dynasty, it is highly probable that the country will pursue military advancements involving drones. Whether these technologies are actively deployed remains a separate issue. The prevailing attitude in China often reflects a principle of "an eye for an eye." Consequently, the country's actions are heavily influenced by the external environment. Based on the collective education and historical consciousness within Chinese society, it is evident that the nation harbors a strong memory of its past and can be significantly motivated by a sense of collective shame. Therefore, it is clear that any initiative that enhances the nation's image and strength is likely to be pursued vigorously.

I think it's harmless. China has strict controls on weapons and explosives, even banning traditional weapons like bows and arrows. Drones are only used as entertainment filming tools. In the eyes of others, they are dangerous. In fact, any country can buy them at a low price. It's easier for countries that allow weapons to be freely modified, such as the United States, to do so. Just like how China invented gunpowder, which was only used for fireworks and firecrackers. But in the hands of some people, it became a weapon!

In fact, every technology has dual use both commercial n military. But US is very good at twisting everything that could they not compete into a national security. EVs tech like battery is a fine example. Now the key word overcapacity comes about after they realized they could not compete.....i think it also has an economic element other than the military threat. Is the US militarily being threatened by China on its own home soil?

Hegemony is always afraid of a competitor's development. Of course it makes a complete farce of the "Free Market economy" that is often spouted by the U.S. at the same time as it attempts to squash any competition by sanctions. Fortunately, the end of hegemony is drawing closer by the day by the emergence of BRICS and a world that is sick and tired of being bullied by a bunch of hypocrites.
@jk9876Күн бұрын
American politicians know China very well. They know that China is a very peaceful country and will not really go to war with them. That's why they're spouting shit and provoking China as if they want China to fight them. In fact, anyone with half a brain knows that China's electric vehicle production capacity can be converted into military drones production in a few weeks. This means that China can produce 1 million military drones every day. So anyone who fantasizes about a war with China is suicidal.

It's not so much the aircraft carrier runway. The main target by airborne drones is the elevator in the aircraft carrier. The machine they use to lift and transfer aircrafts, bombs and equipment from the ship's inside bottom deck to the runway of the aircraft carrier. If you take that out of service the entire aircraft carrier will be out or service for weeks if not months. It will be a sitting duck. So will the entire battle group supposed to protect the aircraft carrier. But, here is the point he is not even addressing. Battle groups do have some defenses against air born drones. They have rapid fire massive rattling guns that fire a barrage of rounds per minute. They might even have lasers. They can also use Electronic warfare to try to jamm the satellite signal used to guide and control the Drones. Modern day drones use AI that makes them not use satellite signal anyways. So the jamming satellite tool is quite limited. Plus lasers don't work very well in bad weather. They have very limited range in bad weather. They require a huge amount of energy. Plus you can only target one at once. However, There is another type of drone that they have absolutely no defense against that are even more dangerous than airborne drones. Those are fast moving underwater drones packed with explosives. Specially if you can make them attack by swarms. Now those are the ones that really scare the capital crap out of any navy. Those are the ones that can sink your entire ship or fleet and the US navy. The US navy and world's navies have absolutely no defense against them. Those ones will keep sailors up at night with absolute fear and dread praying to the all mighty. Thst is no joke. A swarm of them will sink your entire fleet. With time even submarines won't be safe from them.

Why does US have to be the most powerful nation. China just like US would, could use all technologies to build their military strength. And as US is at liberty to supply weapons to whoever they like, Chinese gave the right to do this. China, or any other nation doesn't, and wouldn't limit their sophisticated technologies to make just toys. Dangerous????

US are also weaponising robots and also AI in warfare. All sides are guilty here if we allow an unfettered arm race to continue. Therefore the US should make friends (instead of enemies) with China, Russia and all other countries in the world. Negotiate arm reduction agreements and send in independent UN inspectors to check all parties are adhering to the agreements. No civilised society should plan their future on the basis everyone in the neighbourhood are your enemies. Do not be afraid of your own shadow..

China is the top manufacturer of drones. The usa is right to fear China's drone industry. The light show made up by 10000 drones controlled by a single computer. Just imagine if the USS aircraft carrier is attacked by 10000 kamikaze drones, it will sink in seconds. China is far more superior than the usa as it uses the 21st strategy and weapons while the usa is wasting its resources in static, vulnerable 750 military bases and 20th Century ships and weapons.

If the US drops all our sanctions now, China will still not stop. We have played our trump card and all it did is to let China know what the US truly wants: contain China. Be it chips, drones, war, finance, trade, food, energy and so on and so on. In the years to come Trump's trade war and Biden's continuation will be seen as our worst mistake: there is no stopping China from wanting to be self-sufficient in every aspect. Long before we decouple China, China will be independent of us (they won't stop trading though, but they will not allow any pressure points for the US to exploit. Other than war, our only option is to partner up. Like the old saying, keep your enemy closer.

you're right, it all boils down to different cultural perspective. The Chinese have a more commercial driven view on technology, where the Euro-Americans has a tendency to weaponize everything. The gunpowder was discovered by the Chinese, but weaponized by the Europeans. Same goes for the drones and AI.

It's really too late to put the cat back in the bag. They have everything they need to keep developing better drones. Also if the states had a thriving drone industry they would totally take over production during war times, which is always. Reaper and predator are very much American tech.

The difference is China uses the drones for peaceful and defensive purposes, whereas the USA uses the technology specifically for war and domination. That is the massive difference between a benevolent power and a malevolent evil power. Period.
