@@merc625 The propellers are the most expensive part of the preparation. I have no idea which propeller I will be able to extract the highest speed from, with the current engine configuration. Genuine Mercury 12x22p propeller costs 1550 dollars, there is still shipping, and the import tax is 92%, it arrives at my house costing twice the price. I'm in Brazil!

Hi mate, I just cut and spliced the wires to the harness plug. It’s pretty straight forward. All the wire colours and trace are the same. I had to put the key switch off the forward controls into the big tiller because the big tiller didn’t have the push in key function for the electric choke. I also fitted the the alarm from the forward controls for the over heat warning. I had to modify the throttle cable a bit to get it to work. The gear selector cable on the big tiller fitted with a bit of fiddling around .

Great test! I've experimented with moving the engine to the side, as well as up. If you look at the engine cowling you'll se how you start turning the engine slightly at high speeds. By shifting the engine about 10cm (i see another test 😊) away from you the gearcase can run more straight and clean through the water. I gained anout 5% in fuel economy and maybe 3% top speed. To test and not have to drill new holes i built a little hole mover out of three layers of plywood glued up with polyester and csm between the layers. Would love to see someone else try it out! 5% off on your fuel bill for some scrapps of ply is a pretty sweet deal 😂😂

Yes, you can gain quite a bit of speed. It really depends on how high you want raise it . You can only go so high with an alloy prop . To get the most out of it you will need a quality stainless with some tuning done to it
