I liked the two-point perspective, it's incredible to think that it took them so long to implement it, I also like the changes in the kitchen furniture tool, the landscaping tool looks interesting.

I’m pleased to see that they did upgrade the Home Screen recent files so you can pin them in the order you want and even delete older files from the lineup.

Yes, there are some nice improvements to the Home screen that I will cover in a future video.

Nice work Jonathan. I am a revit user but enjoy playing around with vectorworks for is rendering/control over elements, and its strength with site modelling. The curb and channel additions look great, however dont seem production ready yet: 1) Theres no way to show the profile in plan view, you can just see the outer line of the curb. Ie for a standard L shaped curb you cant see the ridge. Just the outer lines. Found that strange, None of the 2d classes that they have seem to be able to control this. 2) Likewise the display as lines, simple, 3d only seems to have 2 modes so seems like a bug. 3) The elevation annotation heights seem buggy. They get confused as to what height they are. They don't seem to be based on the layer height. Moving the kerb vertically doesnt reset them etc. 4) No ability to control label placement for heights or slopes, although i think thats consistent with site modifiers so not a new problem. Also noticed theres a hidden system class called curb that they create in the background when you draw your first curb. You cant see it or use it but find out when you try and create a class of the same name Great release but just seems a bit clunky

Good improvements. Thanks Johnathan. It would have been great if the long awaited LandXML import from Autodesk Civil 3d feature is added to Vectorworks.

Yes Agreed.

Hi Jonathan, the captions hardcoded in the video are distracting and makes the experience of viewing worse. YT can do this on request by the viewer, so maybe you do not have to provide them.

@@illbeback2YT ok thanks I will leave them out going forward

To be frank, we pay more each year in de facto subscription fees, and the improvements this year are underwhelming. Adding a version of the viewport orbit gizmo that Blender and Autodesk applications have had for years is nice, but I can't say it's a major improvement. Yes, the countertop tool will be helpful, but again, it's hardly a major improvement/feature.

Thanks for your thoughts, although I respectfully disagree, as I think this year version does have some major new features for each industry.
