Can you lay down the tank instead of standing it up
@timarchibaldEATA4 күн бұрын
Thank you! My tank has never been checked for pressure, had less than 3lbs. Charged it to 38psi and whole system is much better. No wonder showers were slow...

Question: I just bought land with a well that was drilled back in 2003. It's never used, it's just a steel casing that runs 325' and was reported to have a flow rate of 11 GPM. I noticed this weekend that there was water gushing out of the well head after a bit of rain. Im wondering what happens when the temps dip down below freezing? Is there a chance my casing is cracked? Or are they tough enough to deal with expanding frozen water?

One thing you didn’t mention that I just experienced was the ability for the alarm to correctly read the signal and show a red light, but not be able to set off the horn

Here’s my take away. I’m going to use granulated carbon for higher flow rate and same for pleated sediment filter for high flow rate.

Pressure in tank is reading 35psi, I’ve replaced pressure switch, checked for leaks, and I’ve cleaned out the line beneath the pressure switch. Still kicks on/off every 3-5 seconds continuously

@6:22, you said at higher pressure, more draw down volume is required, but your table shows less volume is required.
@RCworstwater11 күн бұрын
@6:22 He said "The higher pressure you are operating the more tank you will need" This means the volume stored goes down as the pressure goes up - you may need a larger tank to hit your target run time if you are running a higher pressure.
@somaday259510 күн бұрын
@@RCworstwater But the pump rate goes down with higher pressure, so the table is correct.

Confused what works to splice my Polyethylene ¾ IPS SDR7 160 PSI water service Pipe. OD is 1.075. Hole is 0.800 Will a Legend Valve T-4321NL IPS/PEP Pack Joint Coupling and their Stiffner T4501 ¾ IPS work? No one can tell you what the OD of that T4501. Or the range of the joint coupling is to fits over pipe and tighten up. Can someone enlighten me. Thanks Not a lot of room for barbs and I need to slide joint totally on one pipe, aline pipes and slide half way onto other pipe and tighten it all

I replaced my 44 gallon Well X Trol tank yesterday although it was still working (however, I think it was waterlogged). That tank was covered for 20 years before the shed (cover) rotted and had to be taken down. Since then, the tank has been outside in the weather here in Texas (extreme heat {Max 112 degrees F four times and modest cold minimum around 0 degees F a couple of times}. The tank was originally installed in 1983-4 as I just don't remember the exact year. So, with that being said, I will let you guess what brand replaced it! I could be wrong about Well X Trol being the best, but 40 years should suffice my needs. Going to take the old tank and make and auxillary air tank for my compressor! The cost of the Well X Trol was twice as much as the cheapest 44 gallong tank I could find, and 25% more than the best "consumer" branded tank and cost me $756 delivered to my house. After checking, the best of the consumer brands start having problems after 2 years and some claimed to have gotten 5 plus (just long enough to be out of warranty) years, but no one claimed more than 6 years. As for the weight, I am 63 years old and small framed and can carry it--69 lbs.

I've got a 90 gallon galvanized water well pressure tank with no bladder. It's been out there in the back yard (winter and summer) for over 38 years now. about every 10 years you drain all the water out of the tank letting it fill up with fresh air and there's your air pressure bubble. I have no idea why they went from something as simple as galvanized steel water pressure tank that absolutely gives you no problems whatsoever to one of these 5 to 10 year limited bogus bladder tanks.

Over the years I have been an astute observer of a person's knowledge and intelligence as it is reflected in his/her use of language. This guy is very very smart and his description of the ins and outs of a pressure tank is organized, sequential, easily understandable, and demystifies what a novice like me needs to do to replace or update the air pressure in a typical tank. I'm definitely subscribing to his site!!!
