hi i love your art but i was trying to draw your totoro but i kept either spacing things out or making things to close could you make a part where you show how to draw the pencil base for colouring and outlining in future videos

@@joshlabindustries Thanks so much! The size of the artwork depends on the amount of details that I want to depict, if it’s just an impression of a place I would draw pretty small, if I want to render a lot of details then I would draw bigger :)

Hi everyone! I wanted to share a quick update on paper recommendations. I no longer suggest using the Strathmore 300 Series Bristol Smooth Pad. Instead, I highly recommend the Strathmore 400 Series Marker Pad. It's from the same brand, so the pricing and sizes are similar, but the 400 series is much better for blending! I’ve been using it in my online course, and it blends colours almost as well as coated cardstock. The only downside is that it can start to pill after multiple layers, but overall, it's a great option.
