Painting is really just the painter translating how light interacts on color and form. James Gurney’s book on Color and Light is the best art book I’ve ever met. I got his 3-series video tutorials on Color from his Gumroad, and they’re the art tutorial I keep coming back to the most. Whenever I start a new medium, I go back to them and do the exercises with my new medium. They’re so essential.
