Great video, absolutely agree with everything you say about the game and Shift Up 👍. Couple of things - on going woke - NO Chance! Have you tried Shift Up's main eaner, 'Nikke: Goddess of Victory'? That is about as far from woke as you could get. I was a bit unsure about it to start with but you get into the humour and style its pretty good fun. A gacha game best played on PC! As for other games like SB then Nier Automata is a clear recommendation, simlar style, similar areas, deeper story but not quite as much fun to play as SB. One game that I don't see mentioned as influence on SB is the original Half-Life. There are clear references to Half-life in SB, particularly in Matrix 11. I played Half-Life back in the day and playing SB reminded me of how that game felt. Maybe a bit too long in the tooth now but there updated versions on Steam if you are interested . Enjoy and I will check out your SB playthrough!

It’s a good game. Fun with a decent story. Is it as memorable as final fantasy 7, no. Is it engaging enough to keep you playing till the end? Absolutely.

I'd really recommend Hogwarts: Legacy. While fully aware of the controversies around this game, I still loved every minute of it. Even with the parts of the controversies I disagreed with. Over all it's just a fantastic game. It (mostly) respects Harry Potter lore and its world, minus like 1 or 2 weird "woke" choices that Rowling probably wouldn't approve of. Thankfully, however, it doesn't affect the game it is. The characters involved in that nonsense are so minor they don't detract from gameplay or story at all. It has excellent graphics, the story could've easily been adapted into a movie, the combat system was amazing (I love how they incorporated magical plants as combat items as an additional choice for fighting), and the open world elements were ace. This game even had ok-decent dungeon levels for a first time attempt in making a game for the IP. I'm really surprised there isn't more videos for Hogwarts and hope you make some more in the future. I'd love to see any and all countdown style videos for its best/worst stuff like you have for other games. I'm loving what I see for Stellar Blade. It's been a long time since I've seen a game creator show genuine passion, love, and respect for a game he's making and not just pushing an agenda. It's such a sweet breath of fresh air!

I think you'd enjoy the Bayonetta games if you like Stellar Blade. They're not the same but have some similarities.

If squenix were indeed listening, the frame pacing problem every episode has would have been patched. This scroll stutter is absolutely unbearable, and it plagues every version, PS, Switch and PC.

I started that game yesterday, i hate that, its boring, the zero spam of enemies, a lot enemies who hit you and you cant think what you can do. Why they didn't do a "turn jrpg"

I regrettably decided to go for the digital versions, because of the steep asking price of the physical version, at over 100€ with shipping. The cover art also looks like the laziest job they could possibly do, so that further convinced me to stay away from the physical edition. I am glad square is printing more copies, but it does not change anything for me, good if it hurts scalpers. I love this version of the games, I wish Square also added full compatibility with SNES and NES official controllers and I wish they used more of the 2D-HD seen for FFVI. It seems to me that they dedicated a bit more attention to that game. The font is now better but should be a little bit bigger, seeing half a balloon empty at almost every dialogue is inelegant. I dont care about the lack of additional content from the GBA port, as this was not part of the vision of the game director.

The collection is great except...the pixel artstyle they went with just...turns me off. I can't get behind it. Or the modern improvements. I'll never buy this collection.

I wish they used the SNES localization for FF6. Ted Woolsey had a flair with making the characters sound unique and injected some funny lines to spice up the script.

People who bought them, just to sit on them and make a big profit, are gonna be the ones who are pissed at this news. Glad everyone's gonna get a chance to own a copy, at a decent price.

It seems like a money grab. As in, you couldn’t get physical so spend 75 for digital….now you can spend another 75 for physical finally. Plus now these games have been out for years if you count mobile….and still so much for the whole set digitally.
