Frederik is a beast, but you always sounded more powerful in a BG then him in my opinion. more kick in your drumming with such a clear and sharp fills, but not overwhelming for a listener. And OG is always OG...

As a teenager, I bought an audio cassette tape of a band I didn't know at the store, bought it because of the beautiful cover. It happened that the cassette was rewound to the second side, so I put it in the player and the first song I heard was I'm Alive. I felt like I had a piano instead of a soul, and someone pressed all the keys at the same time. I couldn't even imagine at that time that there could be such music, filling me from the inside completely, bursting outward with an inexpressible rapture. You can experience something like this literally once or twice in your whole life. Thank you so much to the entire BG team, who changed me forever, and Thomen in particular. His drumming is something I always enjoy. Also, it is Thomen who keeps the spirit of that very Imaginations that I hold most dear.

This is the closest we will ever get to see this song performed post album. This is also Thomen's greatest arrangement (ANATO). Given than none of the band members will ever dare to play this live nor celebrate this song, an enormous song to Thomen. Tremendous and powerful.

Thank you, Thomen. Time, what is time and Bright Eyes changed my life forever more than twenty years ago. These songs sealed me as a metal head for the rest of my life like nothing else could.

Thomen, you have a certain dance or dynamic to your drumming. Your way of hitting the drums has a certain dynamic to it, it doesn't sound mechanic if you know what I mean. This feel, dance and dymanic unfortunately got lost as in the Blind Guardian music as you left the band. Have adored your way of playing since mid 90's, was a member of the Circle of the Bards fan club as well. Those were the days 🙂 God bless you man!

Thomen has a special feel, dance and dynamic to his drumbeats and that unfortunately got lost when BG replaced their drummer.

Man, that intensity! Not matched ever since in this European-style speed/power metal, I used to call it "kamikaze drumming" when I had first heard the SFB/IFTOS albums. Most drummers in this genre tend to play in a much more simple way, less fills, less breaks, less creativity, only sheer speed and power. That made your playing soooo unique in Blind Guardian and I'm missing it from their music ever since your departure, but it's great to see you doing these covers and not giving up playing drums and doing your thing with Mentalist. Keep it up! \m/

Für mich warst Du schon immer der beste Drummer nördlich des Südpols. Ich kenne sonst keinen Drummer, der das Schlagzeug als Instrument spielt. Die meisten schlagen einfach den Takt und das war´s. Bei Dir sind es Kompositionen. Das hab ich schon immer gesagt und so wird´s wohl auch bleiben. Rock on!

@@ThomenDrumChamber, Dein Spiel hat wirklich maßgeblich zur Qualität von Blind Guardian beigetragen. Meine Meinung ist, dass der Abstieg mit der Nightfall langsam losging. Der Sound knallte da schon nicht mehr so genial. Ich denke, mit der Meinung stehe ich auch nicht alleine da. Aber seit Deinem Ausstieg sind die Sachen von B.G. für mich ziemlich uninteressant geworden. Da war Savage Circus damals echt ein Seelenbalsam. Und Mentalist ist eh killermäßig.... Ich hoffe, Du machst noch lange, lange weiter...

@@Shayan_Winnetou Ich cover nie, um es genau nachzuspielen. Dann würde ich es besser sein lassen. Ich cover IMMER um meine eigene Interpretation einfließen zu lassen. Warum sollte ich etwas covern, wenn der ORIGINALINTERPRET es natürlich immer einzigartig spielen wird, da er es nun mal so komponiert und interpretiert hat? 🤷♂️🤷♂️😅😅

Por mais que o frederik seja mais técnico, musica nao é so isso, aqui eu escuto a essência do melhor e verdadeiro Blind Guardian!!! Nao é a toa que os caras estão fazendo só albuns medianos. Falta essa pegada do Stauch!!!
