I quit Eve due to the utterly _unavoidable_ toxocity.. Goons were some of the worst examples of it. . . also to call Eve a game is a _gross_ abuse of the term, it's one hell of a space _simulator_ if you have the time and patience to take a university degree to learn how to "play" and then if you do manage to wade through that nightmare experience, you're immediately immersed in the most toxic MMO environment _EVER_. I don't think ANYthing could ever make me play it again. I really do wish I could say otherwise, there's so much that could be so great about it, but the player base absolutely obliterates the experience.

Wow 400+ mil isk for a T1 battle cruiser? Eve must have been experiencing hyper inflation. Just a couple years back a T1 battleship is about 200+ mil.

The issue is just if you go once to PH, your account is basically branded. You will have difficulties to join any goon corp afterwards and vice versa. PH inc. is also doing checks, they check your corp history and they dont allow everything. thats what I hate about eve. you cannot simply play the game, check out one side and maybe the other side. You can litterally brand your 5year old account and have very low chance to get away with that branding. most corps dont even communicate with you during recruitnment, that you could explain yourself, why you were in this and that corp. they just reject and no discussion.

I know that when you come out of a Station, you have speed applied to you. But when you come out of a Jump Gate, aren't you at a stop? And a ship at full stop has no influence on aligning; you are literally only a point in space to the server without any sort of facing.

This is why having auto targeting missiles in the cargo hold is not a horrible idea.

If you say there’s a minimum fleet participation requirement you should say what that number is. Because it’s ridiculously low, if you play at all , even casually, you will never have to think about it. And if you don’t, you could be having more fun in another alliance. As for 3rd party tools, yes, they are annoying. But they are really necessary to establish comms that will reliably work when several thousand people log in together. Oh, and we hate Horde because practically all the bad press of Goons is just deliberate lies made up by Pandemic Legion and repeated ad nauseum on Reddit.

If you go with the Vexor they provide youre going to die pretty fast. If you're new, start with the herds to learn the mechanics, do it 2 or 3 times then try to get some upgrades like drone damage amplifier II or the capacitor coil II and then go to squads and dont ever leave from there

One thing that sadly goes with goon propaganda (i am biased as I've been with horde forever but that doesn't actually hit this): I see Asher's point with Renting being suboptimal, however it allows people (and small corps for that matter) to pay for protection and be able to actually have nullsec space to work with without having to worry about being steamrolled by goons (or horde or frat or whoever for that matter). Itfd just nice for many people to pay a small (ish) fee and therefore not have to worry about getting evicted 2 weeks after deploying structures, renting is not all bad as Asher likes to make it look like
