Enjoy the series! The sec status clearing was actually really useful to know as my friends and I were thinking about going pirate and just buying our sec status back periodically. Knowing the cost makes it seem worth it. On another note regarding your Orthus loss to NPC's. I noticed you were not aligned to anything, and then used keep at range to try and get away. 1. If you had noticed you were tackled by the NPC sooner, and hit your MWD you would have saved some time (aka damage in this case) 2. Align to any celestial 3. OH MWD and burn, you'd have gotten out Even in the clip where you were a little delayed in getting away, you had several seconds of freedom but because you were not aligned, you died. Hindsight is 20/20 of course, but general rule of thumb is pick a celestial to align to, do that, then hit all the buttons to get yourself out, spam warp. Good hunting o7

Nice video again , i have no clue on pvp this why i look at what you do in you videos , just to learn a litle about it :) allways been a pve player in eve and i just came back to the game , after loosing my main account becosue of inact... so i desided to have difrent look at eve this time , trying to learn as much as i can about pvp. and being from Denmark , its kinda nice to see a german streamer doing this :) so thank you so much for thease videos :) oh and yes on more thing , never fly a ship you cant affort to loose , that the #1 rule in Eve online #2 rule , first learn rule #1 ;)

I've played Eve online on and off since castor. Every time I ended up leaving after moving to low sec, and getting constantly farmed by pirates and general pvpers. I never realized until recently that I am providing content for them, just like the NPC's are providing content for me. Now if I get blown up every once 30 to 50 sites it doesn't bother me anymore. I'm just happy that I was able to make someone else happy by killing me.

we took down a praxis with 4 frigates the other day, took a while but was fun. lucky it wasn't a great fit, i never underestimate a smaller ship versus bigger ship now. 🙂

Hey, I have been following your videos for a long time and they are great. I'm curious, how exactly do you recalculate the range of the Praxis radar lock (2:10) from 87.50 km to 21 km (Orthrus using 3x dampeners)? I got a different calculation, when Orthrus using 3x dampeners: 87,50km with 1st dampener = 56,92km, with 2 dampeners = 39,59km, with 3 dampeners = 31,69km. Is this correct? What is your formula for this calculation?Can this (dampers) also be simulated on Pyfa graphs?

Npcs are the worst fear of any PVPer 😂 Honestly, some people who are really good at pvp struggle with mechanics they are not familiar with. Once I was mining in lowsec with my porpoise when a loki warped in. It was almost killed by the Vherokior Tribe mining fleet NPCs that responsed to his ship because he had poor standings 😂

Absolutely, it's wild! I'm such a PvE noob. In 2023, I lost 8 ships while doing around 1,000 kills in 2023. That's okay... But crazy is, that half of my losses (50 %) this year, 4 out of 8, were against NPCs. Foer example: I tried tackling a Burner Dramiel in a Level 4 mission against Burner Dramiels. Thought to myself, 'Alright, I'll take a Brutix with double web.' Boom, dead. So, I warp back in with an alt, armed with 2 Brutixes and 4 webs, and I'm like, 'WTF, I still can't hit them despite 4x webs!' And bam, dead again... such insane PvE stuff .... i am 100% a pve noob...

Uhhh, big fails :D You forgot the diminishing on the dampeners. First module is 100% effective, 2nd module is 86.9% effective, third module is 57.1% effective. Math should be: 1. module effect: 0.37 2. module effect: 0.37 * 0.869 = 0,32153 3. module effect: 0.37 * 0.571 = 0,21127 So if you want to know the multiplier for the reduction in targeting range, you need to have these values subtracted from 100% 1. module: 1.0 - 0.37 = 0.63 2. module: 1.0 - 0,32153 = 0,67847 3. module: 1.0 - 0,21127 = 0,78873 Now multiply these values: 0.63 * 0,67847 * 0,78873 = 0,337131675153 So the correct dampening with 3 x 37% dampeners equals 33.7% So the praxis should have a targeting range of 87.5km * 0.337 = 29.4km, instead of the 21km you mentioned.

Now lets see how to calculate these 61.68% reduction correctly with the multipliers from the modules: 1. module: 1 - 0.33 = 0.67 2. module: 1 - 0.33 * 0.869 = 0.71323 3. module: 1 - 0.33 * 0.571 = 0.81157 So the reduction multi should be: 0.67 * 0.71323 * 0.81157 = 0,387820167637 Lets see if it fits: 87.5km * 0,387820167637 = 33,9342646682375 km The difference to the 33.53 km from ingame is due to rounding errors i made and the rouding of the effectiveness to 2 decimal places. Proof it yourself. I'm right :P
