If my husband has a will naming me as receiving the home and all its contents does that include the vehicles and the boat also or does that have to be written out in the will? They are all registered and insured in his name. The cars have me down as a driver.

@clintcoons So this is different from creating a holding company? Does this help even in divorce if she doesn't know you have multiple LLC or has access? I only keep enough money in my personal account to pay bills. The rest i keep on my credit cards and invest into my overfunded life insurance policy.

Hello Clint, what about if there is a mortgage in our primary residence ( the house is just in my name) Can it be transferred to the residence trust? Also, we claim homestead in our vacation home, because it is only in my wife name and it will be put in a land trust. Do we have to change that as well?

Looking to set up an LLC to receive my commissions as a mortgage broker. I service loans in several states, but I live in CA, and my brokerage firm is based in CA. Would it make sense to establish the LLC in an anonymity-friendly state like Wy or DE, or should I stick with CA @ $800?

If I have a trust that my Property is in, am I able to sell half the property to my son? If I were pass down the road and he is the executor of the trust, would he be taxed a lot or would they still be able to obtain the house with step up basis?

O they care because now the information is out there. So they watch the obituaries. And then steal the property.. Because the recorder will record anything.. Then it cost money to get it back .. I don't understand I paid the $60 fee to maintain my LLC and then I am asked to pay $100 late penalty In the email I received it says that my LLC is administratively August 10, what does that mean? Does that mean that I no longer have the right to do business with my LLC? I paid $60 to renew my LLC, to keep it active for another year, and right after I am asked to pay $100 more, but I don't want to pay those $100 since I already paid $60, can I get a refund of those $60 and reopen a new LLC?

QUESTION: Someone please help me here. My fiance, my 3 adult kids, and my son-in-law (6 total) have gone in together to purchase a large piece of property with a barn, a couple shops, pool, lake, pond, and creek and a very large home. Four are on the loan but all six will be on the deed. We will all be living in the house until the kids' homes are sold and they can build on the same land (think family compound). We want to set up a revocable trust. We want to be equal owners somehow - at this point that is simple, but when they start building, may have to make changes. We want rules, such as the land will always stay in the family, in case of divorce, spouses have no rights to the property, things like that. We are trying to figure out the Grantor, Trustee, and Beneficiary deal but are so confused since we are all equal owners. Also- want to remain anonymous. In the future (a year or two) we will set up an LLC and do a few airBnB's and possibly a wedding venue. Can someone give advice as far as how to structure the Trust?
