How often do you use 5th & 6th gear on track? I have a Doug Nash 4+3 and I'm trying to gauge how important it is to get a normal transmission in my C4.

@@tylerscott305 not too often, I can reach about 115 in fourth. Because you have a 4 speed maybe your final drive is a bit taller, my final drive is a 3:23

@@tylerscott305 yeah you should be all set man depending on where you drive it, most tracks in the northeast for me top speed is 115-120. I’m pretty sure the corvette challenge cars had 4 speeds in them

X Do you check your thermostat.? These cars run hot from factory for emissions purpose, they run on the 214 easily. You can choose a different thermostat like a 160.

@@somedude.... 1uz stock with a vortec supercharger and a haltec ecu/big injectors bolted to a cd009 and a ford 8.8 rear end. Makes 400hp/400tq the motor is tired but still kicking!

They were on the bike when I got it, I think they are replacement’s though because the left side has a few imperfections the way it’s on

I regretted giving mine away….to my dad! It hurt seeing it being driven (and not cared for). As soon as I could, I got it back. It needs some TLC but I’m NEVER giving it away AGAIN!!!!!

Yeah after owning the car 10 years and putting countless hours it definitely sucked to watch it drive away but I enjoyed it at its best! There’s many cars out there and something to get out of every one of them

I have a 89 L98 Vette its fun to say the least. I rebuilt the motor to stock specs and it runs strong. I need to change the stock shocks though.. 102,000 on the originals

Really like your car. I have a torch red 93 LT1 6 speed. These cars were really ahead of their time. I have hit 150mph at Mosport on the back straight with no mods, bone stock. No one truly understands unless you drive one. They are truly great cars and undervalued in the market place. Thank you Dave Hill and the corvette engineers of the time.

@@morecars324 I love how you overtook that car one the inside and just swept past it almost like it was only crawling by. But Corvette's are famous for that. I started off driving as a teenager in a the newer 96 Cutlass which is no comparison but had Corvette inspired suspension and let's just say I was younger dumber and a lot more brace back then... Now at 33 I hope I can actually help myself get into harnessing the power of the car a little more.

C4s are designed to run hot, and given it's being hammered on a track, it's even higher than normal. Unless it hits the 'danger zone', I don't think it's a concern.
