detach!!! there is detach in blender?? Detached edge in the same object. not like separate, not like extract! Simply have a detach in a single edge. is it possibile in blender or not?

Such a simple tip but so helpful :) I was really confused when this kept happening, especially because Maya was giving me a simultaneous notice that the "Frame rate in scene is 30 fps which is different from the current scene at 24 fps", so I was just totally confused trying to change frame rate settings. 5 years later and still no thought to put what was actually done in the video. For those who need it, you press K as a shortcut for the Knife tool and then you immediately press C to activate Cut Through. Click and drag to draw your line and voila!

Finally!! thank you so much. Every other method I found, had my model go POOF! and then it was 1100 times bigger😅
