5 reduced to homewrecker and traitor with the woman who is his brothers wife and the woman whose parents he literally KILLED, i remind you. They butchered the characters completely. Diego is just disrespected to the max, five and lilla are completely unrealistically out of character. and just gross to be honest. they had bickering brothers sister duo vibes, why the frick did they have to ruin it with this garbage character regression?

And what if I say that the problem was never actually Claire, but always Carmy????? lmao PLS, HE’S SO INSUFFERABLE!! 😭 Neither Sydney nor Claire deserve to be saddled with him. I swear he actually regressed in season 3. He made a slight headway in season 2 and then suddenly took 350 steps back in season 3 for some reason. Like you said, he sucked the air off of everything and everyone, it was painful to watch and we were closely following him the entire season. Horrible.

Interesting, I loved Eurydice’s story. Maybe due to personal experience but I completely understand why she grew colder with him. Although he wasn’t physically abusive as a person (his one redeeming quality), he was incredibly selfish and unconcerned with other’s feelings. He just assumed that Eurydice loved him because he is he, and he didn’t respect her boundaries at all. She asked him to love her quietly, something that happens often in relationships with famous people, but he completely disrespected this because he didn’t feel like it. He ignored her wishes when he took her coin and yes this saved her, but he didn’t do it for her, he did it because he didn’t want to be without her. It was his feelings that took precedent and she was just supposed to sit and wait for him like a good puppy. In contrast Caeneus asked her to abandon him to pursue a greater purpose in life. He let her go precisely because he loved her. Orpheus again and again proved that he’s a pos with a chocolate glaze. All of his actions are nice on the surface but driven only by selfishness. In the end Eurydice said it well, she wanted to leave because his love turned into need. She wasn’t loved, she was used to fulfil Orpheus’ needs for comfort and intimacy.

Not a good look for a series who want to be progressive. Accepting Elliot and writing it in the script was great but why stop there?

That’s actually spot on… Death, in a way, yes, but Life (for the gods), certainly… And Jeff Goldblum has transcended Hollywood, á la Hepburn, Malkovich , or Monroe and people just want “Jeff Goldblum”, not “the MobBoss” (well, maybe now they do 😂) or “Farmer Brown”. That would be a complete waste of the genius that is Jeff Goldblum. 🤷‍♀️ And by the way, the genius of Goldblum has always been the hinted-at haunted darkness that lies beneath,… sooo… And UGH! “Ka-NAY-us”! I love you mentioned MiSFiTs, he was the best character and it's weird how they pretty much had a similar episode with a similar power and being buried and saved by others. They couldve gone a different way, used his power of being able to control ghosts to help (like when he controlled the ghost army) get him out or thunderbolt to dig him out with other animal ghosts.

The toxic nature of the relationship is being displayed pretty clearly in Orpheus' song "Eurydice" he sings in the first episode. In the chorus and pre-chorus he sings "Is it a little too much Breathin' the air from your lungs? Is it a little bit much Under the weight of this love? But I, I, I I wanna breathe your every breath Be the truth and be the myth" So he knows he's being too much and suffocating her but he doesn't change anything because he puts his needs above hers. The "I"s are the most strongly emphasized part of the chorus, showing this is really about himself and not her even if her name is the name of the song (which she hates and told him)

There are a few things that don’t make sense in Kaos: Riddy no longer has a body. She didn’t get a new one. So she’s a spirit. It’s no wonder that Cassandra (&Orpheus) can see her, but can anyone else? Secondly, if Caeneus/Caenis is trans, then why would they get kicked out of the amazons? It’s crucial for the plot that Caeneus is in the Underworld to meet Riddy, so I see that. I’d be curious to see a season 2, because those refugee Trojans actually do become the Romans. Plus, there’s some very subtle mentions that these Greek gods were created human but transcended, that Hades was looking to find “the Source”…

I just completely agree with all the comments, the only difference is that Lila is actually a pointless charactor that ruins the family dynamic. Too much time spent on this over-bearing, over-actor.

Seeing Jeff Goldblum play a villain always fascinated me since Deep Cover. He is so charismatic that his transition to the dark side still keeps me rooting for him. Netflix has to give us a Second Season cause I can’t wait to see Caneus growth. To see him bring his Mom back and she replied Kaos had me jumping out my seat. Binged the series in a day it was so good.

Hi, Jeanne. I didn’t love Season 3 of The Umbrella Academy but it’s a masterpiece compared to Season 4. What a character assassination. The absolute worst part of Season 4 for me was the Five and Lila romance. All I kept thinking about was the age gap between the actors. Ick 🤢

One other thing about the R&H ball gown scene: the stepsisters dresses also stand out against the crowd, but in a clashing contrast whereas Brandi’s dress stands out and compliments the color scheme!

I stop watching those types of award shows years ago. Usually, you will have a series like the west wing, GOT, Shogun, The Bear, white lotus, etc and they win. Great news! Then, they keep awarding the same shows and the same stars. It happens over and over and over, while other shows are overlooked. And, if you're an aging guest star, you're almost guarantee an Emmy. It is, what it is.🤷🏽‍♀

Great rant! lol What makes Shogūn’s wins even more amazing is that this is the first season. Most other record breaking shows like GoT and Succession were deep into their runs and amassed a large following. Phenomenal stuff. I was blown away.

It starts well with the first episode and the general progression is good. I found this is not the right show if you're feeling in good. Spoilers below The thing I didn't like about the show the most is that they did one of my least favourite tropes in film and TV. That being when the main character gets in a relationship with a best friend's family member. I never liked this because it comes across as weird. Imagine doing that with a close friend's relative in real life. Another major example of this trope is in Harry Potter (Even if it is in the novels)

Another thing, why is everyone calling the power juice "marigold"? Harlan came up with that name and no one else heard him say it but Viktor! If they had a scene where Harlan had a vision of Abigail saying it or something like that it would make sense but as far as we know, Harlan just made it up!
