So impressed by by the Nurse Practitioners treatment of the woman with asthma. It does zero good to be intolerant and judgmental, but to see the reality of both her current situation and how intensely addictive tobacco is. It's not just a cliche when experts say it's as addictive as heroine. To succeed in quitting, there needs to be understanding and support from the medical standpoint It's wrong to jump to conclusions. You don't know when she started smoking, perhaps it's why she developed asthma. Perhaps before her dad had a lung condition. Smoking is so much more addictive than non-smokers realize. You'd even chose to short your grocery bill to afford it, so that's saying something about it's impact on lives. Access to succession drugs and tools ought to be more easily available and to not treat smokers like filth

Very enjoyable show. A weird observation of evolving human behavior, how even in emotional situations like this a mom will grasp a cell phone like a life life preserver. No matter how much it gets in the way. Guess I'm old enough to hold onto my purse in the same way (except it holds my phone and other essentials). Think it's becoming a pet peeve to me that people have grown so addicted to even the touch of a phone in their hand.

Like Jess, my sister used to get excruciating periods. After years of suffering, a doc figured out that it was endometriosis. The pain was so bad that she couldn't stand or sit.

Thank god for the wonderful Dr’s and nurses and modern medicine and technology in Australia, and around the world. This series shows the courage and strength of people who have sustained catastrophic injuries and illnesses, and to the medical staff in our hospitals that save lives every day and fix the most very serious of injuries. This series/show gives us a sneak peak of the amazing work these incredible people do.

I can understand when the dr was talking about living in a small town and not being able to have good medical care. Although I grew up in the city, I don’t take for granted living near hospitals where I can see my neurologist, endocrinologist, urology and others who are part of my care team.

……have been horse riding since 8yo, many decades’ now. I was the typical ‘horse mad’ girl, & still love them.
