I use hotglue all the time for weird purposes and uses, and I never considered using it as a molding agent! Absolutely wonderful! I'll be sure to include that to my bag of tricks now!

So the superglue is used for more than gluing my eyelid shut when it's itchy.

Why buy it for $0.10 when you can make it for $30

That’s good to know! You can do the same thing with the stripped hinge screw with Elmer’s glue and wooden tooth picks

Neat - but it’s probably less trouble to just buy a new plastic cog wheel for $0.75 lol

I repaired a tab on a headlight assembly using this method - super glue and sodium bicarbonate - the guy who was looking to buy the car when I was replacing it asked about it. I told him all about it, he called me a bunch of names and walked away from the sale. Person who bought the car after that, six years later said it was still holding strong ... but according to the first guy, I'M the idiot ;)

One can use baking soda and super glue. I've repaired broken laptop hinges that way. Still holds to this day.

What is the cost of this light bulb? In Canada, a 60W is less than a dollar in Canada ($0.95). As much "fun" it is to be able to actually "repair" an LED bulb, which is something you CANNOT do with an incandescent bulb ....HOW MUCH LIFE would be lost by removing ONE diode from 15 ??? Typical "life span" of an LED bulb is estimated to be "at least 20 years" (100,000 hours) I installed an outdoor LED yard light in 1986, 38 years ago, for dusk-to-dawn operation. It has about 1000 lumens. That's 13,870 nights. At about 8 hours of darkness per night, that's 110,960 hours of AUTOMATIC OPERATION. I would think less than twice to consider playing around with a "repair". The video, however, was fun to watch and learn! .
