Pretty cool experiment but for sure it only goes until the left bottle is empty. Great way to show students how pressure etc works.

While the pressure is higher from the header tank, the water will continue to flow out of bottle 1. As soon as the pressure is equalised, in this case bottle one would be empty, it will stop.

It is only flowing because the air pressure and displacement there of by the mass and weight of the water. The water will only flow until the bottle in the left is devoid of water. It would still require a source to run indefinitely..
