Thank you for this video. A lot of more experienced folks don't realize what's not obvious to a total beginner! 😅 This is helpful, using the entire range of motion of the clutch lever is exactly my what I've been doing.

Thank you so much sir the tips. I always stall in bad situations, like in school, before making my way to our town's main road, you have to go up an uphill road and make a full stop just before turning. I was so embarrassed because I keep on stalling, and so worried that I clogging up the road for people. Another was from just recently, I was going to my friend's house to work on our group project, the road to their house have rough roads, speed bumps, and many uphill roads, I stalled on an uphill and I got nervous so I stalled again and again. These experiences are so nerve wracking. But I know it will be ok. Just as you said, with enough getting used to, I too can stop stalling.

Problem is that when you are on 2nd or 3rd gear and suddenly you stop and then another second you have to quick pick up race zero gear high , you stalled 😢

Far more reliable than the KTM. you are lucky you didnt get a KTM. i had a 1290 SD its full of problems. you pay for everything and it depreciates a lot. MT10 is unbeatable value for fun and money. incredible bike overall only issue with it is the fuel consumption. its a thirsty bike

Have one of these & like a fool put as much $$ in aftermarket parts as the new bike cost 😆. Perfect bike for the city. Out of the city on weekends-can take it on winding roads as well, this thing is one fun little ride. Enough power to put a smile on your face without getting in trouble. Going through all the gears is fun, instead of risking jail time in 3rd gear. A few bikes in the garage-for me this is a keeper. Great to lend out to friends starting out too. Have fun and start small

you refer to the screen often and it's great to have but in MSF they constantly tell us to keep our eyes forward and off the odometer. It's dangerous to get beginners in the habit of constantly checking their odometer for gear. it's seconds taken away from the important stuff which is situation awareness. Instead I would tell beginners to bottom out their shift lever till they hit first gear and get used to feeling it with their foot rather than looking at the screen.

Cheers for the video mate, Just got my first bike 3 days ago and rode it for the first time 90 minutes ago. figured I could do some loops of the underground garage like I did on my push bike. Pretty sure I bit off more than I could chew thinking I could U-turn at the end of each corridor and am sure this video has confirmed it. The parked cars and concrete walls were a bit much of a deterrent for my speed and confidence so I dropped a bike for the first time :') Tomorrow I'll grab some more fuel and then maybe try take it to the street where I have more space and less obstacles, pending giving way to any and all traffic. Wish me luck!

What helped me was to be heavy on the throttle and slowly let off the clutch. Never stalled. But not great on the clutch. After a while I fine tuned the procedure. Hope this helps someone 🫶

This is a small tip from me for you As you are a new rider 😊You should not fill your bike tank to the brim because it leaves no room for fuel expansion due to temperature changes, which can lead to fuel spilling out, causing environmental damage and potential safety hazards; additionally, overfilling can strain the fuel tank's seals and potentially damage the vapor recovery system on your bike.😊❤

Why don't they just make clutch levers with a type of governor that only function in the friction zone? I'm a noob so excuse me if it's a dumb question

haven’t ridden in 2 weeks due to the bike needing an MOT, today was my first ride in a while so i knew i was gunna stall a lot… stalled 3 times at the first roundabout xD i knew this was going to happen tho so i asked my mum if she could just follow behind me for the ride to the garage and back. this is only my 4th time on the bike
@after_midnight95922 ай бұрын
@@BDOG.777 This is a very good practice for complete beginners. In Europe we have to take minimum 20 hours with driving school instructor following behind to keep the rider safe and give all the tips and instructions before the checkride. Get a bluetooth or something to stay in contact by phone and have her follow around for the first few rides.

You can stop in any gear, but make sure you downshift to first, so you start from first from the full stop. Of course, it is a good skill to downshift to first through breaking. Easy to pick up.

Yo my man...this helped me a ton ❤ , like i am a little bit of a perfectionist so the thing is i started learing just 2 days ago and i am struggling to get the bike off initially i am stalling atleast 5 times before taking off but cause i felt that my bike reving loudly is a bad thing at intial pickup but seeing you tell about how you give the extra power meaning there is nothing wrong in doing that clears everything up 😊 , Thanks bro you don't understand how much this video cleared things up for me ❤.

what i learned was from shadetree surgeon that the msf never taught was to give it as much throttle as you want but the clutch is what needs to be let out slower depending on how much throttle you give it haven't stalled since

For those beginners and having problem to navigate your friction zone. Heres my tip. Its reall simple. Think of it as a clock. The whole clutch lever is 9-12 o clock. Your friction zone would be somewhere around 10-11 oclock or 10.5 to 11.5 o clock. If you go all the way to 12 and you dont have enough speed yet chances are you will stall. Every bike is different but those are the most sweet spots of frition zone.
