I'm about to do this job for a friend tomorrow. Thanks for the great details and camera work. Looks super simple. Hope I don't run into some bad issue. His is the body before this. It's an 05 or 06 or 08 or something... but, yeah, that original model.

My car makes noise when I hit bumps. It keeps shaking for a little bit and makes my wheel move. I will do this and hope it fixes it.

It took me forever to do this. The plate was easy to remove but on the newer models there's a thicker weld on the inside baffle. I just rode around without the plate for a while. I would wiggle the baffle occasionally. One time when I was riding the lower baffle came out while on the road. I didn't see where it went. The top pipe was still baffled, a few months ago I saw that it was very loose but the flange was still hung up on the inside. After wiggling it and using pliers I managed to get it pulled out. The bike sounds a lot better. I still would like to get new pipes put on at some point.

And doesn’t this screw with your fuel injection / fuel to air ratio and make you bike run horribly
@VinEllis
@VinEllis 8 ай бұрын
No… it’s just baffles. It doesn’t remove the catalytic converters further up in the pipe. All the baffles do is make the bike quieter. If it fucked up your fuel ratio and makes your bike run horrible, what do you think happens when you put in aftermarket open exhaust?

After watching another video on a person who changed his stock pipes and air filter doesn't mean your bike is going to run faster or give you more horse power, all your bike is going to do is make more noise. In fact you could be losing horse power because your bike's computer isn't programmed to the modifications you did to your bike. The other video the bike was put on a dyno and it's computer was reprogrammed to run with the new modifications.

90% of the commenters don't realize the '76 Vega had Toyota-like powertrain durability and it's ride, handling, highway directional stability qualities with steel belted radial tires were superb.

Nice time capsule but, should ONLY be a trailer queen. This car is one of the worst car ever made by GM of in the USA. I remember them well, in my high school and college years. They were forever having serious mechanical problems. Good for just show and an example of how the car could have sank general motors. Also an example of shoddy American workmanship at its worst.

Is the Master pro any good compared to bilstein 5100?
@SchofieldRacing
@SchofieldRacing 2 жыл бұрын
Blistein is definitely a better brand, I don't know if they sell the strut as an assembly like the Master Pro. I did have to swap one of the Master Pros a year or two later, they warrantied it out though.
@drjd2real
@drjd2real 2 жыл бұрын
@@SchofieldRacingBilstein doesn't make the whole assembly, but I don't like quick struts. I have a 2010 qx56 and all of the shocks and springs are bad. Both bags are busted in the rear and the compressor doesn't work, but I'm doing the conversion in the rear with Bilstein. I might just use new springs from rockauto. For the front the springs have to be compressed to install the Bilstein or I might just get the complete Kyb complete struts from autozone, but I still think the Bilstein is better. It just takes more time to install. I put some kyb on my Lexus in the front and they are bad now. They lasted maybe 2 years and that was oem replacement. I think strutmasters might make the best quick struts for me but they are kinda expensive.
@victorlopez2143
@victorlopez2143 2 жыл бұрын
Makes me wonder why the mechanic didn't offer me the option of just replace the Coil spring ( Which had snap off) with replacing the whole assembly with a quick strut. Especially with the cost of a quick strut compare to a Coil spring(from VW) - wasn't cheap for sure. Especially with the amount of money I spent. Next time I will ask..This one seems easier than doing a VW Jetta for sure.
