I loved this before I injured myself with the lunges. This set off a permanent cycle of focal dystonias, which are a common feature of Parkinson's. Currently, I deal with dystonia in my left Achille's tendon, my posterior tibial tendon and my peroneal tendon. After doing this exercise routine as well as private sessions of High Intensity Interval Training in 2021, I required surgery for a torn and ragged meniscus. And yet, it's not time for me to give up standing workouts and healthy walks outdoors. Trainers: It's important to keep these less functional joints and ligaments in mind when you design a workout. Many of us don't have a diagnosis or even recognize deterioration in range of motion before some of this damage is done. I'd like exercises aimed at trying to improve range of motion.

Hello my name is Jonathan and I'm a young adult that suffers from a stroke that happened in January 2019, and I'm looking for videos to help me stay fit but at the same time help me with my difficulties that my stroke has left me with. I don't know if you could make a video for exercises for stroke survivors. I have incredible difficulty moving my toes in my right leg, so I will appreciate it if you could perhaps make a video for how I can recover my muscle memory on my toes.

Do you have any video for Dyskinesia movements that will help control or slow down movements
@NeuroFitBCLtd2 жыл бұрын
Hi Michelle! Great question, dyskinesias are a function of PD medication use over time. If you stop the meds the dyskinesias will stop but obviously this is not possible with PD as the meds are there to control symptoms and allow people to function and exercise properly. Step one with dyskinesias would be to talk to your doctor to make sure your medications are as optimized as possible. There are no specific exercises that will slow or control dyskinetic movements BUT exercising at a vigorous intensity will help manage symptoms and mitigate progression which over time will help reduce the speed at which this issue changes. Hope that helps!

I can vouch for the effectiveness of this treatment for PE. Right after a few intimate encounters with my wife, my performance and stamina has enhanced considerably. My spouse has been content the last 3 times, which is greater than I even hoped for. I am not sure it will work , but you can get the guide on Google. The guidebook’s name is Thomas Camonρez

Naomi, Thank you so much for doing these videos. What would you suggest for people with shoulder issues for exercises 3 and 4 whether from the floor or a box or chair. It seems to really aggravate compromised shoulders to do the 2 exercises as the shoulders roll forward into the pinching place.
@NeuroFitBCLtd4 жыл бұрын
Hi Lori, Great question! First I would see if you can get into the position for #4 (crab) and rotate your hands so your fingers point back away from you to open up the shoulder space. Make sure your hands are directly under your shoulders to reduce angled pressure on the shoulder. From here think about lifting your chest to the sky while pushing your palms into the ground and rolling your shoulder back. If this works and you can do it without a pinch then just hold here and slowly work up to holding for about 30 sec. Id skip #3 until you can do this. Shoulder pain is often related to posture so I'd go practice the opening exercises in the "5 tips for better posture with PD" video I have on my channel. Also next weeks flow is for you!! There are some great shoulder openers that you may have to practice a bit to open things up before going into crab position if none of the above are working. Obviously seeing a Physio for hands on work for the shoulder pain would be a great start as well but I know thats a bit tricky at the moment. Let me know how it goes!

This is something I am thrilled I can do! I don't have Parkinson's, but I have a lot of osteoarthritis, both knees have been replaced in the past 11 years, somehow I tore my left hip capsule last year [arthritis at top of femur, right?], and my fingers, wrists, ankles, ball of feet etc - they hurt. Making doing some of the workout activities challenging and painful. But doing this workout gets my heart going, makes me sweat a bit, and feeling more positive about working on intervals with my daily walking. An excellent warm-up here!

Naomi, thank you so much for these videos! Just finished doing workout 1. How do you recommend to go through the different workouts? Should I stay on #1 until I properly do all exercises or should I mix the different workouts? Thanks!
@NeuroFitBCLtd6 жыл бұрын
Hi Javier, Generally I would say try to start with one a week and see if that gives you time to get used to it, once you have done them all you can then mix them up but there should be some new ones out by then as well. :)

Any workouts designed for seniors?

Hi Jason, these can be done by anyone! Though they are Parkinson's focused they do work on balance, alignment, strength and conditioning, all of which are important components in any senior exercise program!

Between Parkinsons and my frozen shoulder this was impossible to reach back :(
@NeuroFitBCLtd7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment Mark, reaching back to YOUR full range is a great start! If you can't reach back all the way go as far as you can within a pain-free range, even just rotating the trunk without the arm movement is a great exercise as well. Frozen shoulder is a common issue with PD both prior to diagnosis and after. I know it can be frustrating as it limits certain movements but there are definitely lots of adjustments you can make including working within your pain-free range to slowly increase range of motion at the shoulder joint. Seeing a physio 1:1 is a great way to get treatment for frozen shoulder so hopefully you are doing that in addition to working on Parkinson's specific exercises. Thanks for tuning in and commenting, there are move videos coming!

This is the 1st time moving hips forward then step, most gait/walking videos recommend lifting toes up first and so on... it never worked for me, I'll give this method a try. Thank you!
