Do you combine dutasteride as well? Currently using Propecia 1mg for two years , with solid oral minoxidil 5 mg , considering to add 0.5 dut 1 per week for better results , I would love to hear from you an opinion about it Thanks 🙏

I have seen some amazing results with SMP to hide/blend in fue & fut scarring. What are your thoughts here? I was always thinking about fue but now you definitely have me thinking about fut but I am still leaning toward fue and then SMP to help hide the fue scarring. Or I will just stay a Norwood 3 frontal temporal recession only as I have been stable for many years (31 yrs on fin and the last 2 years on oral sublingual min). One day I want a hair transpant and the next I freak out and I do not mainly due to the scarring you are talking about.

Hi man quick question if you’re able to answer, I’ve been on finasteride 1mg and oral minoxidil for around 4 and a half months, due to prescription problems I havnt taken finasteride for over 3 weeks and am now beginning to shed way way more hair than before I took the brief break ( btw I’ve got my prescription on it’s way) just wondering is this what would normally happen and when I start taking finasteride again after 3 and a half weeks how long will I be shedding for ? Thanks for the great content 👍

Is it possible to take 1mg finasterida every other day, example monday wednesday friday and weekends off?

Will there be a difference in effect on the eyelashes/eyebrows when taking 5mg oral minxodidil per day compared to 10mg/day? Because if you were to take 50mg/day your eyelashes wouldn’t be 10 times thicker and longer compared to 5mg/day would they?

Hi Killian, I was hoping you could give me a little advice. I've been on oral fin + min for a year or so now with good results. But I just got diagnosed with cancer and as a result will lose my hair due to chemotherapy. The doctors suggest me dropping my hair loss meds. Is there any point in continuing the meds through my chemo? Thank you
@Lamb0212 күн бұрын
So sorry to hear that… I’d ask them if you are still able to use oral fin, i do see oral min mixing well with chemo meds so maybe topical is your best bet. Again ask ur doctor ur options and be prepared to need a transplant. Praying for you !

What are your thoughts on low dose Testosterone and DHT blockers like spironolactone added i got high T 820 naturally at 29 no gym just walks and groceries before was much more even, cause makes me too angry 😅 Does it help more or is there some secretive affect Testosterone helps with hair as opposed to DHT. How about the role of estrogen perhaps a very micro dose?

Im getting darker hair even 4 to 6 months into 1.25mg even 1 friend was like did u dye ur hair i did also add more hair masks too. Now 1 year on 1.25 and another 4 months with 2.5mg yet another benefit my hair is improved that touch more vertix almost good completely. I would have been NW3V before all meds i was on transition with long hair, but now its strange like 2 but better 1.75 but I did look at the picture from 10 years ago and the density of the hairline is just nowhere same and it was like NW 0.5 i was 19 now 29 but its note even as good qualify as 6 years ago wither but like 3 years ago in some spots and like 5 years in the already fuller spots.

Dont know if you could make a short video on this but what if you decided to do fut over a donor area that already had an fue? I know it shouldve been the opposite but too late for that option
@TheHairChemist12 күн бұрын
It's possible when less FUE has been done. I did 1000 grafts via FUE technique after strip 1. Then did 3 strips after FUE.
@user-hs1ti7sf3s11 күн бұрын
@@TheHairChemist What if the fue was 4000? If a strip was done would the strip be just less dense but still doable? Thx
@anthonym913013 күн бұрын
One more question Kilian. If you were starting from scratch would you go to someone like Dr. Zarev who does mega session FUE's and has had some phenomenal results?
@TheHairChemist13 күн бұрын
Not in a million years. I'd only consider this route when nothing more can be taken by the "standard approaches".
@anthonym913013 күн бұрын
@@TheHairChemist I completely agree I only asked just because of that specific doctor and the reputation that he has
@anthonym913013 күн бұрын
Did 1500 grafts first with FUE even though my doctor said strip was the way to go. But the benefit of going to a doctor that did both was that he did FUE in a way that wouldn't compromise a future strip surgery. Did FUT second surgery once i became more educated and no regrets much better result and just recently have done my second FUT ( 3rd surgery) much better on donor for sure would have only needed 2 FUT had i made the right decision initially live and learn. By the way great stream.

18 months ago I did a HT in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Turkish clinic,with turkish doctors,tehnicians etc) results are not great on the crown ,and I wrote them a review on their google site,they called me and they offer me a correction to fix my problem....I don't know what to do,I think maybe it's better not to do it again ,because my donor is same on eye look as before surgery ,it's risky ,and why do it again when there didn't do it good at first time ,agree ? BTW great chanel and content ;)
@TheHairChemist13 күн бұрын
Don't go back, period. I've seen what happens when they offer to fix it. They F*** you up worse than before. All they will do is take MORE donor hair, further depleting it.

since you are working in the chemical sector I wanted to ask if it has any negative effect on the efficiency, if I store my Finasteride (pills in a blister) in a room that often has up to 70% humidity, because there really is nowhere else for me to store it. (the Package leaflet does not say something about special storage conditions)
@TheHairChemist14 күн бұрын
It depends what climatic zone you're in and the registered shelf life for this region. If you're in climatic zone II (USA and EU) it's a little high, usually it's allowed 60% +/-5% RH, but it should be fine and reach shelf life. Finasteride is also sold in climatic zone 4b region's such as Saudi Arabia and Mexico where RH is as high as 75%, but the shelf life is less here.

🧓✂️🙌 Result of Dr. Marwan Saifi who performed all my surgeries. Dr. Saifi has been my surgeon for 8 years. In today's hair transplant climate we need to get back to the practice of medicine and become a patient life-long to an ethical and caring doctor. This is the only way to receive proper medical care for our hair as an individual, and to build a masterplan for life-long results.

I take the SUPER CAPSULE by Happy Head since beginning of June 2024 - it has 1.25 mg Oral Minoxidil, .5 mg of Dutasteride and 2000 IU of Vitamin D3 - the pharmacy they use has very poor reviews on a number of sites - makes me wonder if those actual ingredients and dosages are really in each capsule? I feel like I would be better off having an MD just write me scripts for 2.5mg of Oral Minoxidil and either 1 mg of Finasteride or .5 mg of Dutasteride. Also you said you were concerned about dutasteride but i have read that the side effects are the same as finasteride by that dutasteride inhibits the two enzymes the spur DHT while finasteride just inhibits only one of the two enzymes - thanks for whatever thoughts you have and you have the healthiest fullest head of hair i have ever seen on anyone - incredible.
